I booked a reservation here over the phone and was not given any information about cancelation or confirmation of anything really. The man that took my reservation had a really difficult time understanding English and screwed up the dates. I had no idea that anything had been messed up until I was headed down the highway to Socorro and the manager called and told me that he was charging me a no show fee. I told him that he had made a mistake. He offered to change the reservation, but I wanted to cancel it. He told me that he couldn't cancel the reservation and even though he had screwed up in the first place he wouldn't refund my money. This hotel was at least twice the amount at the other local hotels. I told him I wasn't going to be staying there and he said he didn't care he wouldn't cancel the reservation. I called the customer care center for Super 8 and was told that they couldn't do anything about it. He was free to charge what he wanted and they didn't have any way to recoup my money. I can't imagine that the management here would take care of the people that are staying at their overpriced hotel being they are so greedy and inflexible with travel plans. We travel A LOT and I have never run into this problem before. It is awful. I won't be staying with Super 8 anymore and probably not any of the Wyndham Resorts since I am so disgusted with the way they handled this situation.

Run down decor, but relatively clean. Close to NM Tech. Room was dark and depressing. Internet did not work. Charges added for second guest in a double room. My credit card was billed for 3 nights when I only stayed for 2- still working to get refund. Breakfast was mediocre. There are more appealing options in Socorro I will choose in the future!

Older Super 8 that could use some updating. Was pretty clean except I do not believe they did a great job on vacuuming. Bathroom was clean as was the rest of the room. Staff was very friendly. Payed attention to my request on line for an upper level quiet end room. Very pleasant and informative. Could use better mattress pads/fitted bottom sheets as they slid around a bit. Overall, would stay there again for an overnight.

Our stay here, which we do every year (but will no longer), was marred by the ticket written for us by an overzealous cop right in front of the door. The nice couple behind the desk looked sympathetic but they're probably used to people arriving with horror stories about Socorro's ticket-crazy cops. We've stayed in Socorro for years on our way to our western vacation home but will never set foot in the town again. It's a real shame because this friendly business is being hurt by Socorro's (apparent) policy of making a living off of tickets for out-of-towners rather than collecting taxes from people who come back year after year. Stay here if you must stay in Socorro. But avoid the town unless you want to contribute to the city coffers.
