I guess they must have renovated some of the rooms since others discuss the cleanliness of their rooms. I did see new carpet going into a room near by so they must be fixing things up room by room. Mine had broken furniture, dirty light switches and holes in the carpet and couch. I got only one channel on the TV. The manager did offer to move me so I shouldn't complain about the TV. The soap was the size of a chocolate mint other hotels would give you. Bath towels the size of hand towels. Water flow in shower so low I didn't dare wash my hair in fear of not getting the shampoo out. Good notes: the pool did have water in it and people were enjoying it. Thankfully the air conditioner did work since the temp was 110 degrees and I had a small refrigerator and microwave. The bed was a king and comfortable.

Loved the price and knew not to expect anything fancy like the Hyatt, Hilton, or Raddison. You must use some normal common sense judgement for yourself. Myself, Husband, and daughter stayed for 3 days for $40 per day. New bed, fresh towels, an ok. AC was new. It is a old motel and the walls in restroom need a good scrub. we barely stayed i the room. we used it to sleep and shower only so it was ok. theres other hotels on main st. just remember tou get what you pay for

There are certainly much nicer and better choices in Roswell, but they will also cost you more. And there are closer ones to downtown, but they will cost you more; and it's not as though downtown is such a great location after 5pm anyway.

The motel is old; it caters to a more (can you say white-trash on here?) crowd, but it was reasonably quiet when I was there, though perhaps a bit below average on that, and clean. It wasn't really much to write about, but I don't know where else you would stay for that price in the area.

The man at the front desk was nice, and there is free wi-fi with reasonably good reception. It felt reasonably safe, too. When you pull up to the motel, it is what it looks like. If you are at all surprised or expecting something else, then you either haven't traveled much. Or maybe you were there on a bad day and I was there on a normal to good day. It is just what it looks like.

I wasn't particularly excited by it, but not drastically turned away. I might not 'recommend' it to friends, but I wouldn't tell them to avoid it either, if the were looking for either cheap, or old roadside motel.

On a road trip with my fiance we had planned to stay one night in Roswell, we stopped at the Frontier Motel or should I say the Frontier Mel since the O and the T were burned out on the sign. We thought $45 (tax included) was a good deal and booked the room but upon entering the sights, sounds and smells turned out to be more than we bargained for.
It was like one of those scenes from a horror film, when the scary music plays and the camera eerily creeps in for an up close view. As we walked around the room we noticed garbage on the floor, not just pieces or things, tiny scraps or crumbs... but literal, full-size garbage. Creeping out from behind the entertainment stand was what appeared to be an empty pepperoni package, the floors were obviously not vacuumed, the carpets were seriously worn.

It only got worse from there as we approached the bathroom, the mirror was half falling off of the wall, the floor was filthy, the walls were filthy, the tub and toilet and sink were over taken by a multitude of questionable stains and I literally feared touching anything. After nervously pacing the room for 20 minutes and starting to panic about actually having to spend the night there, since we had foolishly and trustingly already paid... I decided to go to the front desk and ask them to switch us to a cleaner room.

When we entered our second room we were immediately hit with a horrifying odor and found it to be pretty much the same as the last room. Overall, dirty, disgusting, unlivable, unimaginable, unexplainable horror. It took only about 5 minutes of looking over the second room before I returned to the front desk and requested a refund, not only were the rooms absolutely deplorable but the other guests quite frankly scared me. There was a half naked, very creepy man that stared at me as I walked the long, dark, scary walk to request our refund, there was no way I could ever stay in that hotel.

It should be condemned.

On a side note he did agree to give us a refund but did so with an extreme amount of bitterness.
