Clean rooms, nice staff, good service for a great price. You can stay at the Westin for $200 or more a night, or spend a lot less money at the Inn at Rio Rancho and have more spending money for your trip. I chose the latter and have no regrets at all! Great hotel for the price.

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. I've traveled to numerous hotels and this one was by far, the worst "motel" I've ever stepped foot in. The website is VERY decieving! The room was absolutely filthy. The door to to the room wouldn't shut unless you slammed it, the curtains were dingy with years of dust, the furniture was outdated, bathroom tiles were cracked and broken, good luck opening the closet door (it would only swing open about two inches) don't bother putting the "do not disturb" sign on the door because the maids never come around. We ordered room service due to our fatigue from the activities during the day. When we were through, we set the plates outside our door, left the next day for more playtime with our dogs... the plates were still on our stoop when we returned in the evening! The "motel" advertises free HBO. After trying to find the channel to no avail, we called the front desk and the reply was "If you get it, it's on channel 83". What? If we get it? There was no HBO on channel 83. The courtyard had dog feces everywhere! Shame on previous dog owners that have stayed there and not picked up after their pooches but I question where are the groundskeepers?? The front desk told me that the pool had been closed for the season but the spa was still open. The pool looked like it had been closed for ten years! The tarp was not taut and had a pool of dirty, murky water in the middle of it with leaves and pine needles that collected creating a decaying sludge. The spa/hot tub had rocks thrown in it and leaves floating around. The staff would walk around obviously on a "smoke break" and wouldn't even bother to say "Hello". Very unfriendly! The reason I booked the room was because of their pet policy and the fact that it was very close by our venue. We race our dogs as a hobby. When I complained at the front desk, the clerk seemed apologetic but didn't try to "satisfy the customer". She told me there was nothing she could do. Really? We had one more night in town and she didn't even attempt to buy my business. We immediately left and stayed at our normal hotel chain even though it was across town. SAVE YOUR SANITY AND STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

We got off to bad start because there was no one at desk for ckeck in. In checking my credit card balance I discovered they added on a $50 charge for incidentals and otential damage which was not disclosed. That led to several discussions before getting the charge reversed. Our reservation was for a poolside kitchenette which we did not get. Another discussion resulted in a room change. Not a good experience. Bed was comfortable but furnishinhs are terribly dated.
