first of all, we stay at Comfort Inns a lot and have never seen this before. When we first arrived the lobby was empty and we waited about 10 minutes. There was no one behind the desk and we came very close to calling the police, it was very odd not to see a clerk for that long. she finally came in and said she had to secure the building, and apologized.
Our room appeared clean on first glance, and then I noticed the sheets were threadbare, and there was a cigarette burn on the top sheet that was actually folded over. There is no way housekeeping could have missed the cig burn. The blanket either had been left in the dryer too long, or there was foreign substances on it that made it stiff in places....yuck!
I moved a chair around so I could use it for our computer and you could see that the furniture hadn's been moved in a very long time, as there was a 2-3 foot strip of dust that hadn's been vacuumed. i know that I can be a neat freak, so I am usually able to take that into account when I see something, but this was really gross. This is the first review I've ever done, but felt it was really necessary.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2009

Stayed at the Comfort Inn on the way back to Denver from Tucson, AZ.
The pool was disgusting. Two of the five who stayed there ended up with a strange rash..bug bites?
Perhaps we would have had a better stay across the street fighting off Anton Chigurh at the Regal.

“Clean, comfortable stay in Las Vegas, but this is not a restaurant hot spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2009

This hotel is conveniently located and the end of the main drag off the interstate. It is a newer property with clean, nicely maintained rooms, a full continental breakfast with waffles, bacon and eggs, fruit and toast. It has a nicely heated pool and jacuzzi that are wonderful. The only downside to the hotel was that the woman who checked us in was not very friendly and seemed a little annoyed to have to do her job which begs the question of why one would choose to take a job they didn't want to have a good attitude about . Because we got in later, we had a tough time finding a restaurant that was open, but the little vietnamese/chinese place was nice enough to stay open just for us, which was great, because it so happened to be my birthday and we were hungry. Because we're picky about asian food being originally from Hawaii, I have to tell you the food was absolutely fantastic and the service was great. I think the place was called "Little Saigon" and it was next to Pino's.

“Did you want the naked man?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2008

Stayed here on cross country trip after a very long day. I try to stay at Choice hotels because they have more than an average number of properties that accept pets. Their website stated this property accepted pets so I booked. After pushing past Santa Fe, I arrived at the hotel past 11 pm. I was shocked to see a prominent sign that read that pets were not accepted. As the night clerk struggled with the guests ahead of me, I decided I had to stay. The night was unseasonably cool (high 40's)--so after I checked in, I drove to the Burger King, walked my dog, and returned to the hotel after midnight. Little poochie was fine in the car. I went to the room I had been assigned, opened the door, and a naked man jumped up out of bed. I quickly apologized and went to the desk. The clerk initially thought it was funny, then realized I was serious. Apparently, a movie crew had been checking in and out without notice, staying after their departures, single crew members taking doubles, really messing up their room tracking. The maintainance man had to go knock on doors for the clerk to see if people were in the rooms. After about an hour, they found one room that was being held for an actress that had not shown up yet. The desk clerk was very apologetic, and the room was gorgeous but I ended up only using it for about 5 hours by the time the mess was cleared up. It was a beautiful property, I paid $96 plus tax and it was convenient. But what a mess, I was exhausted the next day on the road......

“Mixed bag”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2007

This was a mix of good and bad. First the good: The room was good size with a very creative way of mixing the frig and microwave in with the TV. The frig was the best I have seen in any hotel. There was a spacious table for the laptop and other related things. The bed was very comfortable with many pillows. Now the bad: the desk clerk was the rudest that I have encountered in a long time. She was playing with her cell phone and completely ignored me. I asked if she was the one to check me in and she curtly said no check in until 2:00. I was in a bit of a hurry as the power steering on the car that my wife was driving failed on the interstate and we needed to find a mechanic (she was totally unsympathetic). I went out side to tell my wife and came back in only to find a line in front of the counter where she was checking in customers (time 1:35). I had to stand in line to check in and when I got to the counter things did not get any better. The other negatives were a very small sink counter, not enough room for two people to put minimal toiletries, and slamming doors until midnight and started again at 05:00 AM. Most hotels that we stay in have put in silent door closers.

This hotel has the potential to be very good but it needs some management attention.
