We enjoy staying in historic hotels. On a weekend when we were touring Fred Harvyey's Montezuma Castle, we decided to try this hotel near the old Santa Fe train station. It was a good choice--not fancy, but clean, quiet and a very reasonable rate. The lobby is charming and would be a good place to relax with a book. El Fidel has a restaurant in the same building serving dinner, but we had already eaten. We'll try it another time. For breakfast, we walked to a popular breakfast cafe, Charlie's Spic and Span Bakery, just down the street. (Pick up a homemade cinnamon roll for the road!) The Old Town Plaza is about a mile away. Parking lot, hairdryer, shower only, but no coffee service. Seemed like good value to us.
