We stayed here during a swim meet for my oldest son. The staff was super, very fast check in, the room was great. The beds were very comfortable, all of the accomodations were more than adequate. This hotel is close to NMSU where the swim meet was being held which was because we were able to walk back over to the meet and watch the older kids swim in the afternoon rather than drive. Continental breakfast was good, plenty to eat.

This is a nonsmoking property. But the room I first was assigned had a significant cigarette smoke smell. The hotel did give me a different room without a problem.

But maintenance was a major problem, particularly for a new property. The shower faucet dripped. The toilet flushed itself. The sink stopper was stuck in the up position.

I reported the bathroom problems early my first morning there--but no repairs were made.

Plus, a sore spot with me, the shampoo and coffee condiments weren't replaced after the first day.

Find another location.

I went here to secure a room for a business associate. Right off I asked for a smoking room and was then lectured by the young college student staff that they do NOT have smoking rooms, and that I shouldn't be smoking anyway. That in itself was none of their business and the room wasn't even for me. I stated that it sucked that there were no smoking rooms and proceeded to leave the lobby. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone - period!

I don't want to give this hotel the worst rating ever but I won't stay there again. Check in was late, they gave us a room that had just been shampooed and smelled terrible, the furniture was all on the bed, the rooms are so-so, the lighting makes it seem dingy. I was glad to check out.
