The title of this review says it all. Do not stay here. There are plenty of other hotels that offer the same rate and are way less disgusting!

I picked this hotel for one night so I could get some sleep on my journey from Arizona to New Orleans. The price was right (I think it was $50 plus tax), and the location wasn't bad (about a half hour from White Sands Natl Park, easy on-off the highway, but not directly in downtown Las Cruces). The staff was friendly, and the room was a decent size. The carpet seemed worn. The internet, no matter how many times I tried to connect or how strong the wireless signals were, did not work. The front light, as well as the light above the desk, did not work. The sink was clogged so much that it was half-filled with water after simply brushing my teeth and washing my face. Thankfully it did drain, but it took awhile. All in all, the place wasn't bad for a quick stopover; it just needs a little basic maintenance.

The room was a decent size, the bed was firm, and there was a recliner in the room-- something you don't see often. We were in a non-smoking room, but the hall smelled from smoke and it occasionally could be detected near the door to the room. The bathroom had recently been redone and was functional and clean. Outside noise and neighboring room noise didn't penetrate, but we had the A/C on so we don't know how soundproof the room really was (I'd give it the benefit of the doubt). The desk clerk was friendly and efficient and we had no problem with our reservation and 11:30 PM arrival. All in all a satisfactory experience and we will be back the next time the need for an inexpensive room in the area arises.

Booked direct on hotel for $49, queen non smoking. Overall, cant beat the price for the room and the breakfast. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Decor dated. Heater/cooler is noisy but I dont mind that as I sleep with a fan anyways. I could hear and saw rowdy neighbors from the hall but with the fan on I couldnt hear them, thankfully. I asked for a room on top floor (no elevator that I saw). Hotel is on a frontage road so road noise is possible, but again, I had the fan on. Staff person seemed to care less about me on late evening check in, but she was a teenager so its expected (it was 10pm). I had no problems overall. Morning staff was polite. Very nice breakfast layout. Overall for the price, cant be beat. Ample parking and seemed to be fully booked on a Thursday night. We were traveling thru to White Sands but be aware this hotel is still 40 mins away. Stay in Almorgordo if you need to be 15 mins away. Watch the skies for phantoms and F16s flying about!
