I have been a loyal Marriott customer for many years and have earned their Gold Elite Lifetime rewards membership. On Oct 25, 2011 I learned how little Marriott values my business. On September 5, 2011 I made an on line reservation for this Towne Place Suites location for two nights. Marriott sent a confirmation of my arrival greeting email reminder on October 20, 2011. When I showed up at 5:15 PM to check in the clerk explained they had oversold six rooms and many of the rooms were Gold Elite members, as if to ask what the big deal was. He explained I could stay at the Fairfield Inn instead. I commented if I wanted to stay in a Fairfield Inn I would have reserved a room there seven weeks ago. I said this was not acceptable and asked him to review my records of being a loyal Marriott customer for almost thirty years staying between 30 and 40 nights each year. I also asked to speak to the Manager, who was unavailable at at the time, tending to the Fairfield Inn instead. This is the closest Marriott suites hotel to Whire sands and Alamogordo, NM where I had business meetings scheduled. Instead I contacted Marriott's customer service people by phone and stayed at a Spring Hill Suites Hotel for one night that required an additional twenty four miles of driving. Marriott stays used to be a cut above the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Garden Suites, etc. Unfortunately their Towne Place Suites management selection and training is a failure. I will never stay at a Towne Place Suites hotel again. These facilities are managed by people who do not care.

We've stayed here multiple times as our daughter attends NMSU. This hotel is a nice, quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. It is starting to show it's age from the first time we visited three years ago, but overall, the hotel is still in good shape. It is one of the few hotels I found in Las Cruces that allows pets. We've always had great service from all the employees. They serve a complimentary breakfast that's adequate enough. We've stayed in three other hotels in the city and this is our favorite. It's located right next to Pizza Uno for drinks and dinner, which is convenient.

Our stay at the TownePlace Suites in Las Cruces on May 5, 2011 was perfect. The hotel is extremely typical of Marriott properties in every respect. An extremely clean room. Typical breakfast selection. Nicely quite -- we slept well. Perfectly professional check in/out. Very easy to get to, and the location was very convenient. Perfect for business travel, and extremely nice for personal travel as well. The hotel is in like-new condition.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 days in April 2011 while we took care of some personal business in Las Cruces. The location is excellent, right off the highway in a business park close to shopping and restaurants. We stayed in a one bed suite, which had a full kitchen. Room was clean and functional. They serve a small breakfast every morning, not much to get excited about, coffee, juice and muffins and bagels. They have a computer set up right in the lobby that you can use to do airline check in and print out boarding passes. Very nice laundry facility onsite which we used. Pool is small but clean. Wireless internet worked well in the room. This is not a resort type hotel, but worked very nicely for us during our stay. If you have a pet, you can bring it for a $75 fee.
