I am outraged! Not only did the staff watch both myself and my co-
worker like a hawk since we arrived at the Hotel, Management today (10/16/08) had the nerve to accuse my co-worker of stealing food from the breakfast buffet every morning. While I will admit that both my co-worker and I take food to go every morning, we are both on an eating plan that has us eating about 8 times per day. If there was a problem with us taking 2 packets of oatmeal, and two cups of cereal with us each day, somebody should have said something before the end of our stay. We were also both accused of taking "all the food" from the "Managers Reception" on Tuesday night (10-14-08)!!! I am sorry that the staff ordered 1 pan of Bar-B-Q for about 30 people that showed up (20 of which were workers in the Hotel), but don't you dare tell me that I took more than anyone else. I took a half-full plate of Bar-B-Q to my room to eat later (8 times a day), and was all but crusified by the stares from both the staff, and management. I always appreciate feeling completely unwanted by the staff of each and every Hotel I stay in. I would expect the staff of a Hilton property to be a little more professional. My co-worker was also told by the manager Lisa Lewis, that several customers had complained about both her and I. Funny, I don't remember meeting anyone at the Hotel that would know who we were.
In closing, I would just like to say how much I usually enjoy my stays at Hilton property hotels. They are always nice and clean, with a friendly staff. I travel almost constantly (3-4 weeks per month), and always look for a Hilton property wherever I go. If I was not such a seasoned traveler, and was not aware that Hilton properties are usually great places to stay, after this trip, I would never stay in one again. I cannot describe my anger at this. My stay culminates tomorrow (10/17/08), and I am considering sleeping in my car tonight.
