I've been staying here for almost 3 months while working temp at a nearby plant site. It's not the best hotel in Hobbs, NM, but for $250/week (LES plant employee price), it's not bad. If all your looking for is a bed, bath, TV, housekeeping, and free breakfast, it will suffice. Housekeeping is excellent; my personal coffeemaker is clean every morning. I don't even do that at home. The desk folks are friendly and accomodating. The maintenance guy is kind of a sour individual, but gets the job done. There is a lady who makes excellent custom breakfasts every morning. There's a decent Chinese restaurant next door. It's king of in an out of the way place in Hobbs, but everything in town is within 10 minutes. Hobbs ain't that big, folks.
All in all, while I miss being home, it's not a bad replacement.

Upon checking in this hotel, I noticed a sign by the front desk stating "NO REFUSAL OF MAID SERVICE" or somthing to that affect. Once in the room, there were no "DO NOT DESTURB" signs to hang on your door. I thought this strange, but stayed for lack of finding another place.
The room was not bad, but you have to pay $5.00 for a TV remote! The bathroom was outdated, the bathtub had either hard water stains, or maybe it was cleaner residue.
I was moving my brother down to Hobbs for the summer, so we had bin of clothing in our room. About a week after checking out of the hotel, my brother noticed that he was missing some clothing he had worn during that time staying there. A man that my brother works with also stayed there and he also had things stolen from him! I would not stay at this hotel again, can't trust the staff, and it wasn't clean.

Hobbs has become something of a boom town with the opening of new oil wells and new drilling. (The result of the current high barrel prices). For this reason lodging can be difficult to locate.

Ask for a room in the back, where it is quieter. Don't expect the swimming pool to be open, as it looks like it has not held water anytime in the past 20 years. (Although the web site continues to offer this feature).

The hotel room was musty, the ac did not work and the hotel maintenance man that repaired it was either drunk, on drugs or woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

The appearance of the hotel on the outside was okay but the inside needs to be renovated. The hotel room looks like the 1970's.

The bathroom was unbelivable; the toilet seat was cracked and filthy, the tub was full of hard water stains.

It seems as if no one stayed in the hotel room for a long time.
Almost as if the hotel was closed for awhile and reopened without any updates.

The hotel needs to be shut down or totally renovated.
