we are truck drivers we are in motels all over the us. our truck broke down we went to three hotels and no one was very nice to us.. then we found there motel and these people were so good to us treated us like family... even made me warm homemade cookies and they were good... we were there for seven days ... they made our struggle so comfortable.... the place was very clean also... we truly enjoyed our stay here... there kindness we have never had some were else... and never treated us bad because we were truck drivers... and so many do... and a good breakfast.. not just a bowl of cereal and a muffin....i cant not say enough about these people are truly beautiful people not just a person that takes ur money and never cares again if u have what u want... and if they dont have it they will help u find it....thnk u

Staff was fiendly, room was ok. Trains were noisy all nite long, breakfast was very basic, same stuff appears to on offer everywhere in the US? There was no booklet in room for services, perhaps management had changed recently and things were still in flux? Went there for the pool but never tried it. Ended up wishing we would have had the strength to drive a few more minutesband stay at El Rancho...

We came to the hotel earlier than the check in time but management got us a room ready right away. the train is unavoidable as it appears all the hotels in gallup are located on the railroad track, but the desk clerk assigned us a room towards the back of the hotel so we did not hear the train. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice and clean and was priced well below other hotels in the area.

We got in late and tired, and were delighted with the warm and friendly welcome we recieved form the night manager - offering things like keeping the pool open late for us so we could relax, and making us feel like our custom mattered. The room was perfectly adequate for the price, the only downside being the previously metioned sparse breakfast. The next day i had some problems organising my next accommodation for near the Grand Canyon - take my advice and avoid the Holiday Inn phone booking! Mr Patel came to my rescue, organising a wonderful hotel in a great location for me with one phone call - all for no benefit to himself. The train noise seems to be unavoidable in Gallup but i found the room a/c managed to drown it out ok.
