“Soul of the Southwest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2010

If you are visiting the Four Corners area then believe me, you want to stay here.

The Silver River Adobe Inn is conveniently located to Durango, Colorado, Mesa Verde National Park, Shiprock and the Aztec Ruins. Also worth a stop is the Farmington bookstore/coffeeshop/cafe "Andrea Kristina" and the "Hiway Grill" for a burger and fries. You many not want to leave the property though ... if it were any closer to the San Juan River, you'd be in it. Breakfasts were lovingly prepared; exquisitely simple and nutritious.

The proprietors, Diana Ohlson and David Beers, and their lovely home reflect the sacred spirit of the Four Corners region. They were gracious, kind, enlightened and enlightening. I will definitely return.

“Great rooms, setting, and hosts -- difficult shower and sub-par breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010 via mobile

The Inn is set back from the road alongside a surprisingly big river. The natural setting is beautiful and the architecture of the house is unique and lovely. Everything was very clean and our hosts were friendly. There were only two problems preventing a 5-star rating: the water was either scalding or freezing, making a good shower impossible, and the breakfast was below average. We stay at B&Bs a lot for the personal touch, cleanliness, and usually delicious and filling breakfasts. We typically do not have to eat lunch that day. However, while everything served here was tasty, there were only two items and both were baked sweets. No fresh fruit or protein to fill us up. We waited for the main course, only to realize there wasn't one!

“A relaxing inn nestled next to the river”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2009

We stayed at the Silver River Adobe Inn for two nights in the middle of a two week adventure in New Mexico and Colorado. It was the perfect place to slow down for a couple of days and recharge for the rest of our trip. The inn was cozy and the food divine! And yes, you really do have to go through the fire station parking lot to get to the inn!

“Relaxing stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2008

The best part of staying here was the friendly owners.David was very chatty and like the previous reviewers we enjoyed a long chat over breakfast and he recommended places for us to go locally.

The room was very comfortable much needed after days of camping! It was good to have a mini kitchen as well.Breakfast was nice- waffles and blueberry juice.

We went to the 3 Rivers Brew pub and the skins were great and I really enjoyed the cider. My husband enjoyed the beer sampler.

Would definitely go back again!

“Personal Touch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2008

My family and I stayed for three nights while on business. This B&B only has one guest room, and we benefited from the personal touch that the owners provided. David, the innkeeper, kept us company every breakfast. I came down with a neck ache, and his wife, Diana, also a massage therapist, gave me a professional massage on the spur of the moment. The breakfasts were above average and quite unusual. The B&B is within walking distance to a park and playground. On the downside, there is a bit of road noise from nearby Highway 64. Overall, we will probably stay there again.
