“The worst place during our trip in the States!”

The website of the silver adobe inn promises a lot,but what a deception ! The garden was shabby, there were no comfortable places to sit. The room was dark, it smelled dusty, due to the dirty carpet and the heater made a lot of noise. We heard eveything from the adjacent room. There was not much privacy, and the owners were not hospital. We love healthy breakfasts, but this breakfasts were not tasteful at all, the owner is not a good cook. We didn´t feel at home in this place,

a dark room with dirty carpets and a noisy airco, and a shabby garden. The host and hostess were too present, but could not give any suggesting for sightseeing. The breakfast was terrible.
To expensive for what we got.

“Hard to find, but warm welcome”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

Don't try to get there at night! It is almost impossible to find in the dark. The fire station landmark is very obvious during the daytime, but otherwise.....
Loved the river side location. Nice to sit outside in the sun and read. Furry slippers provided, good for the concrete floor in the bedroom. Excellent shower head, lovely towels, & good bath soap which you are encouraged to take home -- I did.
We weren't too partial to the breakfasts -- one morning stopped to get a breakfast burrito afterwards. Good coffee, and fresh apple cider though.
Maybe too much like staying in someone's home for us.

“Great setting, charming hosts, comfortable rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

The rooms are in rustic cabins constructed as an extension to an adobe building behind cotton wood trees on the bank of the San Juan river. It is a country setting within the Farmington city limits. Our room was well and tastefully furnished, everything in good order. Our hosts were most charming and helpful, and we enjoyed our breakfast-time conversations. We could have wished for a somewhat more substantial breakfast, and this explains the not-quite-perfect rating.

“Welcoming without being invasive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2011

Everything we needed was at our fingertips.
Good balance of privacy and community.
Room was well appointed.
Breakfast was fantastic, healthy and plentiful.
Had delightful and inquisitive conversation at breakfast with the owners, who are fascinating.
The B&B is ideally located with a wonderful, secluded view of the San Juan river. From the B&B you can't tell in your in a city.
Would stay again if our travels took us thru Farmington
