The Days Inn Espanola is minimal but adequate. My experience is limited to one night in room 107 and one breakfast. The room has two double beds, a refrigerator and microwave, and coffee maker. There is a reading lamp (but no chair) beside the microwave and frig. The lamp is handy for reading the instructions on the a/c heating unit. But there is a shortage of electrical outlets, so you have a choice of two of the above. The bath and lavatory are separate, which is a plus. The other plus is the a/c hearing unit, which works effectively, efficiently, and reasonably quietly. The room is adequately clean, and my bed was adequately comfortable. There is no guest laundry.
WiFi is unsecured and connected immediately. But this room is not set up to use your laptop..There is a 28x28" table with two very low chairs and no available electric outlet, unless you carry a spare extension cord (which I do for places like this), in which case you can reach the hair dryer outlet. The chairs are so low that in order to type on my laptop, I have to sit on two pillows, and I am 6'2". If I were shorter, I would just sit in a chair with my laptop on my lap. Along with the missing outlet for your computer and low seating, there is also no light anywhere near the table. To write a note or use your laptop, you read by the light from the bed lamps.
Breakfast is minimal -- dry cereal, toast or blueberry muffin, orange or apple juice, and coffee.
I would not stay at Days Inn Espanola again, especially considering there is a Motel-6 next door, and it is set up for laptop users. It has no breakfast but $10.00 less a night.
