“Very stringent about breakfast.”

I come to Deming NM 3 to 4 times per year to visit family. We always stay here. Well Saturday morning we went in for the free breakfast. I asked my mom to come join us. The supervisor of the breakfast room, Milli, walked in and scolded us for having my mom there. She pointed her finger down at me as we were eating and said "How many people are in your room?" I replied, "Just us." she replied "Well you need to let us know when you have more then what you booked in the room!" I said "Well we said 3 and there is only 3, I invited my mom for breakfast with us, I will gladly pay for her." she said "No, I will let it slide this time but in the future if your not staying here you can not have the free breakfast!" again I said "I will gladly pay for her!!" Then she left.

Wow!! this was done in front of her employees and other customers. It was the most embarrassing and belittling customer service experiences we have ever had! My mom lost her appetite and our morning was ruined. Because of this we will never return. They have lost a customer.

So if you decide to stay at Days Inn in Deming NM, make sure you don't invite family over. Other than that is was a nice stay. They just need to make sure Milli takes some customer service classes.

Room Tip: Don't invite family to visit you.

“Staying a night at Days Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

After driving for more than 10 hours from San Diego. My Sister and I stopped at Days Inn to spend a night. The Staff was very friendly and when we asked for nearby restaraunts, the person who worked at the desk offered many places that we could dine in at. She was friendly and thanked us dor staying at Days Inn. The room was clean and provided great enviroment for our stay. The breakfast was good and fresh. I would definetly recomend this hotel to others. I want to thank the wonderful staff at Days Inn for an excellent stay.

Room Tip: Nice and friendly place to stay after a long drive.

“Wyndahm "rewards" issues”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

As suggested by other reviewers, this is a older property with outside room entries...For a budget lodging our room exceeded expectations...To access the fine breakfast offered however. One has to bundle up(in winter)and cross the parking lot to the "breakfast" room next to reception... Our issue...We often select our lodging based on participation in the Wyndham rewards program...Having had poor service at the local Super 8 we opted to try the participating Days Inn as a alternative... Reservations were made through the Hotels com. site... At reception, our Wyndham,AARP,credit card & reservation print out were presented, data entered, charges processed...On our return home we make a practice of reviewing folios to see if charges were correct and "points" earned, credited...In the case of our Days Inn stays (two different properties),not all credits had posted. In taking the issue to a WYNDAHM service representative... I came to find that points were NOT ! credited... Seems if the guest reserves through a discount lodging program such as Hotels.com. there is no credit given... OK, fair enough. I then asked the Wyndham representative WHERE on their site is such information found?... Put on hold for several min. The representative came back on and helped me then, navigate to the "small print" that did indeed exclude third party sites...The kvetch here, is the Days Inn desk seemed to process our information, without comment. I simply wonder here, where the consumer operating on accessible promotional materials, is honestly served ??? carracar

Room Tip: Close as possible to the office,(breakfast room) in Winter.

“A Quiet, Clean, Well Kept Location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

My Wife and I stayed at the Days Inn while attending the Hatch Chile Pepper Festival.
Arriving in the early evening, we were greeted with a friendly smile and a great attitude.... our reservation was confirmed and we had the room key within minutes.

The property is not new, but the room was nearly spotless and very well taken care of. Free WiFi connected without aggravation and speeds were quick. The bedding was clean and crisp, the bed so comfortable that we slept straight through to morning. The location is far enough from the Interstate that we did not hear any traffic .... a very quiet and peaceful night.

The pool is in a secure fenced area, the water clean and the deck had plenty of tables chairs and loungers.

The Breakfast had the usual variety of cereals, juices, sausage, eggs, bagels and fruits, milk and coffee, all fresh and well stocked.

A reasonably priced, quiet and CLEAN location with friendly and professional staff .... an excellent choice if staying in Deming.

“Clean, reasonable, comfy beds, decent value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

Title sums it up, this is a middle aged Days Inn that shows it age, but takes care of itself. It is a 15 minute walk to down town, so it is not city center but it is in a quiet area on the east end of town. The office is simple and clean, with a newer HP computer for the guests and free wifi in the rooms. Bed was comfortable, linen was clean and new, towels were older but immaculate. Breakfast was better than usual for this sort of inn, two juices, two types of milk, scrambled eggs and sausage, toast, bagels, oranges, coffee was fairly good.
Only downside was minor, they couldn't give me any form of a late checkout and I got delayed in town so it was rather inconvenient for me, I really had to jump through some hoops, but late checkouts are never something I rely on.
All in all, a nice Inn that does a good job.
