This hotel has recently been remodeled and is beautiful. Every thing from the room, lobby, and breakfast area was clean and neat. The bed was new and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

I have had the good fortunate of having stayed at the subject property two or three times a year every year since it was built usually for a week at a time. I highly recommend it.

This hotel was very cheap and the room was kept clean as far as I could see, so I can't complain too much. However there were a number of minor irritations that together summed up to a bit of a let-down.

1) Although my room (and the entire hotel, I think) was supposed to be non-smoking, my room STUNK of stale, disgusting cigarette smoke and the smell did not improve at all the entire 3 nights I was there.

2) The first night I was there the smoke alarm started chirping loudly in the middle of the night because the batteries were dying. After wrestling with it for several half-asleep minutes in order to figure out how to make it stop, I removed the battery and left it in plain view in the room and left the smoke detector dangling from its socket in the wall. This went unnoticed the entire time I stayed until I pointed it out to the front desk on my way out.

3) Half the buttons on the tv remote control didn't work--for example you could scroll down through the channels but not back up.

4) The Twix bar I bought from the vending machine was completely stale and disgusting.

5) I was looking forward to grabbing some free breakfast but couldn't find a single thing I wanted to eat.

But, on the plus side the place appeared to be pretty clean, the bed was comfortable enough, and it was pretty close to the albuquerque airport.

We spent one night at the Days Inn Bernalillo in January 2009. We paid $54.95 + State tax $3.74 + City Tax $1.65 + Safe warranty $1 + State tax $0.07. Total for one night, double room, two beds for two people $60.41 . We used a discount coupon like the ones found at gas stations/tourist offices.

The motel is North of Albuquerque, near the highway, close to some fast food restaurants and gas stations. A bit higher up the highway there's a big casino. There is a guest laundry and an indoor swimming pool.

The room was big, clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice friendly reception desk clerk. Good value for money. There probably was a free breakfast but we got there very late and didn't wake up early enough in the morning.

My only (little) rant is again about the 'safe warranty' which was $1 and never mentioned at check in. We didn't need a safe in our room and we didn't use it, but we were charged for it. I wish motels were to ask whether we want to use the safe when we check in, instead of charging it in the bill when we are checking out. In any case, we would stay at this property again.
