“The Worst Holiday Inn Express I've been to!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

Stayed here for a week while working in Belen and have to say I was really disappointed with this place! I'm a priority club member and stay at HIE all over the US and this one is the worst in my opinion!

From the outside it look very nice and pretty in the inside! But that's where it going downhill from there! The customer service was horrible! The rooms are not bad. Clean and decent sized.

I then turn on my laptop and there is NO WIFI! I call the front desk and she said there is wifi in the lobby only! I later found out that there is a data port in the room so I ask her if she has an Ethernet cable and she says no they are all out! I then ask to put my name down so I can get the next one! This request was put in on Monday and I never got a cable all week! When I went to the lobby to do payroll for work the internet wasn't stable and off and on! Very frustrating! I will never go back!

“good overall”

I am a road warrior. Lobby/gym/common spaces were all nice and on par with most HIE. Rooms seem like they have been renovated but furnature was a little dated. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were very clean.

Staff is what brought this hotel down a few pegs. The woman at the desk told me they accepted my corporate lodging card but I had to have corporate call to make reservation, which was wrong. When arriving she was sitting in the dining area/loung watching tv, which I realized is what she did all evening after seeing her there several times. The same woman was on breakfast duty the next morning, which she set up about 30 minutes late. seems like with unemployment at almost 10% there would be a more qualified employee out there.

oh and I had a very weak internet signal which really annoys me.

“Outstanding HIE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2010

This was a complete surprise to us. We never expected such a beautiful hotel. It sits high on a hill with an awesome view. Make sure you ask for it. You won't go wrong here. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice laundry facilities ($1 to wash and $ to dry and they sell soap/bounce at the front desk).

Not a lot of restaurants in Belen, but try Pete's. It was awesome!

“Convenient to Interstate, Basic Hotel Room, Smokey Stayed Here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 June 2010

This hotel featured a generous sized room and plenty of amenities for the price. It has convenient access to the interstate and is close enough to Albuquerque for daily sightseeing trips.

Although I asked for a non smoking room, my room smelled strongly of smoke and even had cigarette burns on the carpet. When I complained to the front desk, they sent a lady with a can of room deodorizer. They told me all their rooms are non smoking and refused to move me to another room.
