We stayed in a room in the main building, not a bungalow and the room was fine if a bit tired. Couple of odd things about the room
- Glass panal over the door let loads of light in at night from the corridor with no way of shutting it out. We ended up taping a couple of free maps over it which helped
- Despite being full of rather ugly heavy wooded furniture which these sort of places seem to favour, there was virtually nowhere to put clothes..
The location is great, at the nothern end of Long Beach, this seems to be the nicer end as the beach gets thinner and dirtier the further south you get and the ammount of litter and dogs increases. The beach in front of the hotel gets cleaned each morning. We didn't have any problem getting beds on the beach but I could see that being a problem over the peak Christmas/New Year weeks as there aren't that many sun beds
Breakfast was ok, certainly plenty of food, but nothing that special.
Another plus point of the hotel is it's proximity to lots of places to eat within a 5 minute walk
I do think it's probably a bit over priced but worth a look if you can get a reasonable deal. The hotel was far from full when we left on 13 Jan. Walking up and negotiating seems to be the best approach
