“A great resort - best beach of Long beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Good newly upgraded bungalows, lovely garden area and sitting on the best stretch of Long beach! Stayed at bungalow no. 7, super garden view, nice to fine that we also had ocean view! Open bathroom brings the nature to you! The room was clean, ceiling fan, mosquito net over bed, safe and fridge in the room. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and more. Friendly and helpful staff.

A lot of mosquitoes after sunset - don't forget your mosquito repellent!

“Wonderful resort on a gorgeous beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Sitting right on a gorgeous stretch of Long Beach it is an ideal location.

The ocean view bungalows are fantastic. Open bathrooms with morning showers in the sun which is lucky because it takes a little while for the hot water to start running. A clean room with ceiling fan and FIRM latex mattresses with overhead mosquito netting. There is also safe and a small fridge in the room. The double doors opened onto a patio where you could watch the sunset if you weren't on the beach with everyone else!

The airport transfers were on time and free. The breakfast was simple but lovely. The staff were helpful although it can depend on which one you get.

Be aware - there is NO air conditioning, the beds are firm, there is no TV, there are Mosquitos, it is very peaceful and you will never want to leave!

Room Tip: Bring anti-mosquito spray/coils/lotion

“Great beach, fantastic breakfast, good bungalows”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

This place has the best beach out of the many we saw on our walks either way. It's broad, without rocks, has plenty of trees and shade structures, and enough loungers. And there's a restaurant/ bar right on the beach with a pool table.
The breakfast is superb: fresh fruit, yoghurt, choice of fresh juices, good coffee without pre-mixed sugar or condensed milk, an array of local and Western hot foods (changed each day), eggs and pancakes cooked to order, and pastries (also changed each day).
Very nice bungalows too: clean, well appointed, each with a terrace looking onto a garden or the beach, table, chairs and hammock on the terrace, good mosquito nets, fridge and huge old-fashioned safe. Only minor negatives were intermittent hot water, hardish beds, and lack of tv and air-con (although there was a good fan).
Service was reasonable, although the manager was efficient and to the point rather than welcoming.

“Lovely beach, clean and well-maintained bungalows, good food”

We stayed here in mid-December. Picked up at the airport right on time. A bumpy ride into the resort compound, but we were well-treated from the start: a welcome drink, bungalows ready promptly. Our garden-view bungalows were neat, beds firm but comfortable, hot water and working fans. Very serviceable and - best of all - steps away from a lovely stretch of beach. It is true the wi-fi signal is iffy, but it always worked in open restaurant area. The breakfasts are generous - limitless fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt, crepes and eggs any style, made-to-order. Very good, strong Vietnamese coffee. The restaurant staff are pleasant and the food, excellent. The service at reception was helpful without being cloying. My luggage was lost by Lufthansa, but located and flown to Phu Quoc within 24 hours, and the resort staff helped me stay in touch with airport authorities in HCMC without charging for calls.
The only drawback was the raucous music one night, coming from a neighbouring resort. Karaoke...disturbing our peace.
I would highly recommend this resort - especially for the beach, proximity to town and excellent food. Good value.

Room Tip: Beachfront bungalows are a little pricier but the view of the sunset is magnificent. We had garden...

“Lovely beach, nice bungalows, eccentric staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We stayed here for Christmas, and were not that impressed by our airport pick-up (bad car, drove really badly, didn't have a sign or anything), or our welcome. The area you arrive in feels a bit like someone's yard, and we were told to wait for our welcome drink. We waited for quite a while, wanting to check-in and go to our rooms, but were told to stay - the management is a bit Fawlty Towers! The rooms were nice, although I'm not sure about the open-plan toilet/bathroom in the bedroom - you have to know the person you are sharing with pretty well! Not much else apart from the bed, but it was fine and had a nice balcony/veranda. The gardens are lovely, and the beach is definitely the high point. The breakfast was pretty poor, with a few options in those heated pans, but which weren't heated so were all cold. Fresh omelettes and pancakes were available, but the poor guy doing them was overwhelmed and kept giving them to the wrong people. And they have the slowest toaster I've ever seen! But the view from breakfast was lovely and the beach was so beautiful that we forgave the slightly strange service. They did put on a great show for Christmas though, with an amazing gala dinner on the beach.
