Privacy, luxury, gourmet dining, direct beach access and location, location, location.........This was my third trip to Bali and the best! I spent 10 days at the Samaya. The villas are excellent with total privacy and plunge pools. The perfect location to wander the beach, walk into Seminyak or sit and watch the sun go down. Service is first class.

returning to a resort you loved can sometimes disappoint. But certainly not The Samaya. having had such a perfect holiday there last January we returned this year. And if anything the standards and service of The Samaya is even better. We had a Royal Courtyard Villa. In a completely private setting you have a villa you could live in forever, accompanied by a superbly landscaped garden ,pool and day bed area.Have your complimentary high tea there. Just superb.We also had breakfast there, the butlers set everything up so beautifully.You feel very special.All the staff are amazing. They are so proud of their resort, so keen to please and so appreciative of your visit it makes every request so easy.There are fabulous reataurants in the area, Sardine, Metiz, Sarong, Mamasan and more. Your butler or driver takes youthere, and will pick you up when you are finished.You are made to feel so honoured, it's marvelous. And never a hand out for a tip. So you know they are genuine.
All the staff are aware of the high rating of The Samaya on Trip Advisor and their pride is palpable. A special formula of beautiful Balinese people, very well trained and by nature very hospitable
Breakfasts were normally by the ocean, with everything cooked freshly to your exact requirements.Just as we like it.The beachfront villas are being completely rebuilt and I am told they will be amazing. So maybe next year we will spend half our time in a courtyrad villa, and half in the new beach ones, opening in June I think. Whatever, we will be back.

We ended our Honeymoon at The Samaya Bali and had very high expectations since the room we had was $700/night. Everything blew our minds!

The villa was huge, modern, and well decorated. It had it's own pool and tons of privacy.

The service was phenomenal. The staff knew our names at breakfast and always went above and beyond what was needed.

The hotel had tea time once a day either by the pool or in the villa which had freshly baked goods and tea or coffee.

The location was great. Right on the beach and in walking distance of the central town.

We asked to extend our checkout time since our flight was at 10pm, and usually hotels will extend to around 1 or 2. We were extended to 8pm for free.

Will be coming back here in the future!

We made a last minute plan to Bali. After 2 years of having our son, we decided to take 3D2N break so called "short honeymoon" in December 2011. Tried calling our first option of resort villa and request for the Honeymoon Package, unfortunately the resort requires 4D3N which we don't have the luxury of time. Lucky for us that The Samaya is our second choice and although they also offers the Honeymoon Package at 4D3N basis, the Reservation Supervisor is very kind to fulfill our request at 3D2N. The reservation process was very smooth via email. Airport transfer was very well scheduled, the room is something that you will get exactly if you saw the photos in their website. The courtyard villa was GORGEOUS!! The Spa Treatment is a must. We had the complimentary spa treatment and we decided that we will return the next day. This time we tried the hot stone treatment. It was so relaxing. We just do some souvenirs shopping at the shops near Seminyak, we rent a motorbike. Other than that we just relax and enjoy our stay at the villa. From the reservation, to the airport transfer, to the checking in and out and back to the airport, all are smooth and well prepared by the staff of Samaya. Credit to them for their hard work to try to fulfill our requests and they have made our trip so perfect and memorable. We might come back with our son in February 2012 and this time The Samaya will be our first option.
