“The Tarragon - a gem of a place in Hout Bay.”

We stayed at The Tarragon (Jasmine), for three days in January 2012. The accommodation was perfect, lovely gardens and pool, large bedroom and bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The views from the gardens were fabulous, and the location is ideal for visiting Cape Town and the many great places on the Cape. We would recommend the Tarragon in every respect. Thanks from Rosemary and John.

“The Tarragon, Hout bay.Continuing first class welcome and accomodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

The Tarragon offers the perfect relaxing hide-out, away from the bustle of more urban areas, yet it is only 5 minutes from restaurants and shops.Book early, as there are just 5 detached cottages. Many people like us feel the location couldnt be bettered. The views and tranquility are life-restoring , and the large family pool is a perfect sun-warmed temperature, very clean and well- maintained daily. There is a winding road down to Hout Bay, so a car is necessary, There is a jungle gym for children set among pine trees and some room for football ..

Room Tip: Choose from 2 to 5 person cottages, each detached .

If you are thinking of staying at The Tarragon, do it, you won't regret it! This was our second visit and we loved it every bit as much.

The cottages are set in an ideal location for visiting Cape Town and the environs and have the most beautiful views in a stunning setting. Each cottage is stylishly decorated, extremely comfortable, peaceful & private, with shared use of beautiful grounds and pool. Mark, Julia and staff do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. It really does have everything you could possibly want when visiting this amazing country.

Once again, we left feeling there was still a great deal to discover in this area & feeling like we were leaving old friends. We will definitely be returning to The Tarragon for a third visit and would highly recommend you go see for yourself - you will be pleased that you did.

“Fantastic end to great South African trip”

Can't speak highly enough of The Tarragon and Mark's exceptional customer service. We stayed for 3 nights which required a room switch in the middle due to availablity....the staff were very helpful in our move and made it no effort....in fact a change of scene just added to our enjoyment and both rooms were fantastic. Great gardens and views. Well situated for exploring the area with easy access to the the coast and the wine region. Mark's recommendations were spot on and really helped us relax on the last 3 days of our holidays. We would love to return and highly recommend it to all.
