We stayed at Klein Waterval which is located on the road into Franschoek. The setting is lovely and each of the 12 suites have their own private patio with a view of the vineyard.
There is a lovely pool wich is situated centrally amongst the accommodation.
It seemed like nothing was too much trouble for the personnel and there was a very personal feel about the place as opposed to the often too formal air of hotels.

Route 45 to and from Franschhoek on a Sunday morning is very noisy.
All the bikers go to Franschhoek/ Franschhoek Mountain Pass.
The road became even worse since they've started with road works on the R301. (direction Paarl - Franschhoek)
By saying: "it sound like Formula 1", is quite right, bikes can be extremely noisy when the rest of your surroundings are quiet and peaceful.
We've made contact to the road department/traffic department before.
Speed traps were held on the road, but there were no changes to the amount of noise and bikes of the road.
But the rest of the days of the week, noise are under control and the road quiets down after 18h00-19h00 at night.
