My daughter and I spent one night at Tzaneen Country Lodge. Our room (14) was simple, impeccable, and contained all one could ask for - cable TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities. We looked onto the pool - really pretty with an outside "lapa", there are actually two on the property. The buffet dinner was delicious, with a venison pie and gravy I am not about to forget! Breakfast was served outside on the terrace, charming. The staff is delightful throughout. We had several spa treatments, very professional...and at affordable rates. The Manager, Marga Hagens, did everything to make our stay very special. I noted that, for families with young children, there is an animal farm, and all sorts of entertainement such as jumping castle etc. The grounds are lovely with lush vegetation and indigenous flowers. This is an easy drive from Tzaneen, and close to many game reserves. A lovely place to stop and chill!
