Gorah is rather more than the sum of its parts and so must be visited to be fully appreciated.
You are warmly welcomed on arrival at the main gate to find wildlife literally around the car as you make your way to the lodge. The staff are very welcoming and charming and invite you to the library for drinks before lunch. During a delicious lunch an elephant came up to right outside the window and wandered off. The food is suberb especially dinner and is charmingly served by candlelight as there is no electrucity at gorah. The tents are like something from a louis vuitton photoshoot very plush five star but without being inappropriate for the location. Devin was the best guide we had in sa his attention to detail such as the smaller animals was amazing and he doubled as a bar man setting up sundowners in the evening. Each tent has an outdoor terrace for reading in the sun and watching the elephants and zebra at the watering hole the lions and elephants passing your tent and the roar of the lions at night is an expeierence that becomes part of you at Gorah and i suspect will remain with you forever.
