Let's face it this is not the Hilton. We don't care, all we needed for the family was clean place near the beach at the right price. We had 3 kids 5, 2 and 4 mths. We had a enough utensils and bowls to have cereal and toast in the morning and a couple of burners to boil water for the baby's milk.
The room is old and defintly needs to be updated but I didn't go to Wildwood for the hotel, I went there to bring the kids to the beach and the boardwalk. The room was there for us sleep, eat and pit stop for our next activity.
I'd recommend this place as nice economical place for the family. We statyed for 4 nights and will come back soon!

My husband, teen, & I recently stayed at the Sand Dune for a long weekend. The owner/management are very nice, accomodating, and didn't even charge an extra fee for our 13 year old. Because we booked at the last minute, we weren't able to get an efficiency; however, we had an ocean front motel room, with a perfect view of the ocean/beach directly across the street, overlooking the park/field, at a much cheaper price than the "directly on the beach" motels/hotels. The pool was always clean & refreshing, and having the convenience of a restroom/shower near the office made things a lot easier! The only drawback is that our room didn't seem to have any upgrades in a very long time: No socket in bathroom - just an old lightswitch with an extremely noisy old vent; old, uncomfortable mattresses, and no socket close enough to the mirror for a hair dryer. BUT: We still loved the location, even though we had to "rough it" a bit!

Return visit to the Sand Dune and the owners were great and the motel is clean and well maintained. I have stayed in many of the motels in Wildwood Crest and the Sand Dune is at the tops as far as value.

This was our third time staying at the Sand Dune. I absolutely love this place. The rooms and grounds are very clean. The staff is very pleasant!!! They are priced much lower than many of the hotels in Wildwood Crest. We stayed in a 2 room efficiency, it was great having a kitchen. We saved lots of money by eating in most nights.

The only 2 minor complaints I have, the parking spots are very tight. We actually parked on the street (Atlantic Ave) for a majority of our vacation. The other minor issue I had was they only have 1 washer and 1 dryer to the whole hotel, and they are quite dated. I only had to do a couple loads of laundry to get us through the week, and had to wait quite a while for them to be free.

We already made our reservations for next year, and cant wait to go back! Great Job Sand Dune!!!!
