“Park your stay at the Park Lane... a well cared for facility”

During past stays in Wildwood, couldn't help but notice by the exterior appearance that this is a well taken care of motel. Decided to give this a try on a spur of the moment trip to the shore for a car show and warm September weekend. To say I was impressed is putting it lightly. Rooms reflected quality and tasteful furnishings. Management were on top of cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance. Desk personnel (owner?) was friendly and professional. I had no issues with his rules as it was obvious to me that he was trying to insure the quality of this estabishment. And if the other reviews are correct about management not putting up with noise and nonesense, I plan on staying here next August for my week vacation. I go on a vacation to relax and not to put up with other people's bs. If you want your radio blasting, don't know how to behave and don't know how to respect other's stay at the motel, there are plenty of places in inner city Wildwood that can accommodate you. Convenient to the beach and a few blocks from boardwalk. Good views of the sunrise and sunset. If there is any constructive criticism to be made it would be heaven to see a '66 Mercury Park Lane parked in front of the Park Lane! And to the owner..... any chance of having the neon sign restored back to the earlier, original(?) design. It was more classy. The current one is a bit lame for the "lane".

“I would come again”

The motel is in a good location, just one block to the beach. The board walk is about three blocks over and several cafes are with in one block. My main requirement in a motel at the shore is to have it bed bug free. We rented two ground floor rooms with kitchennettes. Upon arrival we tore apart both rooms and there was not a bug in sight. The Mattresses were encased in the plastic protectors for protection. Room #1 had two beds up front and tile floors with a kitchenet towards the rear. Room #2 had some carpet. I would prefer no carpeting in any rooms. Our two rooms had standard tv's which were adequate but I did notice that some of the other roooms had large flat screens on the walls. The owner and employees seemed to always be working/cleaning but I think that is a GREAT thing and everyone was extremely friendly.
There will be no surprises if you stay here. It will all be good. Next year I won't even look elsewhere! P.S. The salt water pool is big and is gentle on your skin and you can't really even tell the difference except you don't get the chlorine smell or sting in your eyes as you would with a normal pool. I loved the pool! There is no internet inside, you need to go sit outside to get it. There is an inexpensive gym a few blocks a way and that costs us $12 for the whole week. Massages outside overlooking the ocean was available just across the street. Bike rentals one block away! The location was safe and my teenage son enjoyed crusining around.

It was our first time stay and we loved it!!! Place gives you everything what promissed. Rooms are clean, pool is big and nice, service is great, piece at night. People around were very friendly, actually we liked the owner, he was funny.
It is true thogh, that if you like to be loud and "no rules" party lover, don't go there.
If we are going back to Wildwood, it will be Park Lane!!!!!

I have been coming to Wildwood Crest with my family since I was about 5yrs old......I'm now 24 and this by far has been the worst Hotel experience down here!! The "rules" are out of control! First of all you HAVE to leave all your beach stuff in your cars none of its allowed on your balcony or in your room.....hmmmm they know they have a hotel 2 blocks from the beach right!? The owner was sooooooo incredibly rude when we checked in that if it was possible to get our money back right then and there we would have!! The pool closes at 7......are you serious?? 7? I'm on vacation in the middle of summer!!He also doesn't allow you to listen to music on a stereo......is he going to tell us when to eat, sleep and go to the bathroom too!?! And god forbid your louder then a whisperrrr after 10 not yeah really awesome vacation thanks Park Lane for making it tons of fun NOTTTTTT!!

“Very nice, quiet. Great pool.”

The place is spotless. The owner takes VERY good care of the property. I read some reviews of an overprotective owner but I didn't see any problems. Perhaps some people need to watch their kids more and make sure they behave? But I'm only speculating.

We arrived early and it was no problem checking in a few hours early. The room was clean though I will agree, somewhat smaller than other motels on the island. Not by much though. Out of three floors, I would say that the top two had views of the ocean despite being a block in from the beach. The pool is outstanding size and in appearance and happens to be saltwater.

My only beef, and a very minor one, that yes, they do rope off the sundeck at night. My theory is that it resides over the living quarters and the owners do not want to hear feet stomping on the roof at off hours. Understandable to me. Perhaps this was an issue in the past.

The clientele was middle/upper middle class families. Some with children so not a party place. In other words, probably not a good place for me in my early 20's *wink*

Great location, steps from restaurants(a very nice one called "Alosi's Bistro" across the street), convenience stores, and about 4 blocks to the boardwalk.

And a big thing for me in Wildwood is access to free WiFi. I'm pretty sure the motel had it but I always connected to other sources. Never a problem. I think the motel had their own protected network. I never asked the owner but I have heard this was included. Something to check on if you call.

I would recommend this motel any day. In fact, I may return.
