We reserved a "suite" with 2 separate queen size bedrooms, microwave and a small fridge. The room was immaculate even though it was small. The bathroom is also tiny and had a very loud fan in it. We had no problem dealing with that and we did stay all 3 nights, but the beds are so uncomfortable we got very little rest. There were four adults in the rooms and none of us were comfortable. Friends had another room and had the same complaint. We got more rest laying by the pool. It's a problem you can find with many hotels/motels. The motel is very clean, the pool is wonderful and the new owners are very nice. They just need to update the mattresses.

We never made it there !! Thanks to Hurricane Irene and all the road closures in NY & NJ & to top it off they wouldnt give us our deposit back.. The only 2 options after arguing with them over this matter for 4 days was come back at a later date or rebook our trip in 2012. I said neither of those option work for us. I told the man on the phone that i was going to call BBB of NJ and his reponse was: "I dont care who you call- you can call the POPE for all we care- youre not getting your money back !! and hung up on me. Like I really want to go there after being talked to and treated that way. After that phone call I did indeed call the BBB of NJ This matter is not yet resolved.

We had a fantastic stay! Everything was spotless and the beds even had covers over the mattress so there couldn't be any bedbugs. Many people say the owner is strict but we didn't think it was mean or rude, he was just enforcing the rules and if he didn't do that it wouldn't have been so organized and neat. Park Lane has one of the biggest pools around there and my kids LOVED it! It even has a diving board and water slide adding more fun to the average pool. The only thing I wish would be better is the space in the room, sometimes you feel as if your a little cramped but all in all it was an outstanding stay!

Stayed in a 2-room (double queen) room for 6 nights. A total of 3 people in all. Room was smaller to average in size but met our needs for this vacation (microwave, fridge, 2 queens). 2 adults and 2 children could easily fit, but at times may be a little tight. The location of the motel is outstanding if you have children. It is a few short blocks to the beginning of the boards, across the street from basketball courts and baseball fields, as well as a bike path running adjacent to the ocean block. Still quiet despite its busy location on one of the more traveled streets in Wildwood Crest. Parking adequate.
The grounds are meticulously maintained by what I saw were a hard working young staff who swept a few times daily, cleaned the rooms thoroughly and maintained what I think is one of the nicest and newest pools in all the Crest. Not to mention the salt water filtration system that is also a plus. The interiors are redone with newer carpets, newer bathrooms (clean fixtures, tub, corner bead molding was actually white and new tiles).
There is a sun deck that is adjacent to the pool on the 2nd deck that does close at night (during our stay at around 10 PM each evening). They do block it off with temporary fencing since the deck is over the top of the owners living quarters.
I have read some fo the posts about rules and regulations. We did not ask about them, nor did we intend to play loud music in the pool areas or congregate late into the night. I assume if this is part of your vacation experience, which is fine for many, this is not the place for you. But the owner was polite, friendly, businesslike and we had no issue at all with the experience.
The cost of the 2-roomn with two queens high season with tax is $212. That puts the cost in the higher end range. But, you are getting a clean, comfortable, conveniently located motel in the heart of the Crest but very close to the WW boardwalk. Excellent location if you like walking, running or traversing to the boardwalk during the day or evenings yet still in a quiet location. Overall, a highly recommended motel.
