I looked at the room pic's online and they looked good so I paid top dollar for a "Suite". When I arrived I was shocked! What a dump! 1970's decor, a spray-painted refrig and just a worn down dump of a room. The beds sank in the middle and there was nothing appealing anywhere in the entire room. Save your money and sleep on the beach! Billy the "night-office mgr" was nice and helpful!

This is a low class motel charging you Ritz Carlton rates, had an awful room no air conditioning or phone working in my room. Not to mention the smell of mold and dingy sheets didn't help either. Management is never around, and they are quick to take your money. Couldn't review my room prior to checking in unless I paid my outrageous room fee, the staff was unaccomodating and pretty much didn't care. After disputing the charges on my credit card I am $600 in the hole and the "motel" will not refund my money. For this amount of money I could of gotten a package deal to the Caribbean. Buyer beware and stay away from the Jersey Shore especially Wildwood!!!!

I have read some terrible reviews of this motel that i think are outright lies. my husband, myself and our 2 kids (8 & 13) are from NYC & are very well traveled (8 places in Europe, Russia, about 10 Caribbean island's and many places in the usa. we have been going to wildwood and cape may for about 15 years and have stayed in many places before finding this motel. we have been coming back to oceanview for about 12 years. It is not the newest or most renovated but it is always extremely clean and the staff are always on point (and i have to admit i can be a bit demanding when i travel). the place is perfect if you have children (they have activities all day~egg toss, swim race, beauty pageants, tug of war etc.). There is a huge pool, a poolside grill where you can buy lunch or ice cream, mini golf as well as grills to have a little cook out. each family uses it differently (some come with large groups and cook and some like us just go out to eat and don't even need the kitchen. the cleaning staff have never left my room unattended and front desk staff does what they can to make the stay amazing. I have no affiliation with the owner and have never even gotten a discount on anything while staying there (never asked). but we love love love this place. it is also so close to the boardwalk (but not close enough to make it noisy at night) and super close to the cape may bridge. perfect location and the most fun place we have stayed in wildwood crest or surrounding area. perfect for families :-)
the only thing i wish they would do is put free wifi in the rooms. i like to be able to work a little each day whenever i have a few minutes

Most places along the beach are older! This place is a great location, super friendly staff, clean with loads of activities for kids! The beach is fantastic :-) can't wait to go back next year!
