From the moment we entered, the man of the house was asking nosey questions: Why did you bring so much luggage? I answered that we were planning on going out. He then asked where we were going. At breakfast, we sat at a table and he spoke with us throughout the meal. We could not get him to go away! He told us not to go to Cape May which was our reason for being there ... that we should do everything in Wildwood (which is a dump!) Several occasions on our way out the door, he would catch us and ask us where we were going. When we missed a fireworks presentation one night, he asked us why we were not there and what we were doing instead of watching the fireworks. IT WAS UNBEARABLE AND MAKE US BOTH VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!! HE EVEN TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD NOT WRING OUT MY TEABAG AT BREAKFAST. WE WOULD NOT GO BACK EVEN IF THE PLACE WERE FREE!!!!!!!!!!! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. ONE CAN BARELY WALK AROUND THE BED THE ROOMS ARE SO SMALL!

Add to that, that the host and hostess are great sources of knowledge about what to do, and for us foodies -- where to eat -- and you've got a great combination. Best tip from Bob was that the best hoagies in town are at Bonelli's (just a block or two away). The Old World Hoagie was probably the best I've had, with fresh Delusso Salami, Dry Cured Capicolla, Proscuitto, Imported Provolone, Romaine, sweet onions, tomato, olive oil, some balsamic vinegar on a very fresh bun.

As other reviews have said, some rooms are small. But when you think of all the things there are to do in the Wildwood and Cape May areas... what in the world do you need a big room for?

We had a great Labor Day weekend, and look forward to our next trip back.

Our family visits Wildwood NJ each year. While we always enjoy the beach & boardwalk, we have been "icked out" by our accomodations a few times. That was NOT the case here!! The innkeepers are great hosts and it felt like home.Thank you Bob & Cindy for a very clean and comfortable experience-we slept like babies. See u again real soon!!
