I have not stayed here, but instead was looking for a place to stay close to NYC. Thank goodness there is a forum such as this to worn people. I am glad I looked up "Park Avenue Hotel." Apparently, a Park Bench would be preferable to stay. One writer "Worst Ever - is this is a hotel?" nailed it. All those travel places, forums, etc., should not allow such a nightmare of a place to be able to promote its nasty place (as others wrote again and again), to out-of-towners as some sort of affordable accommodations along the way of their little getaway vacation, and probably to NYC. This place seems dangerous and sounds absolutely filthy - not intended mostly for travelers, but for the sake of having an empty room - and sites that promote traveling such as Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, and the like, should ban places like this from being proffered for booking by those who are trying to safely travel, who do not know the area (which does not sound good) and who are paying for reasonable expectations of standard "hotel" accommodations such as cleanliness, clean and plenty linens, and pleasant staff to attend to their "customers". This is obviously not a hotel, but a run down place trying to book their empty rooms, whether by the hour or the night, and no doubt once you pay, you're probably not getting your money back either. Thank you all who did post their warnings! And thank you TripAdvisor!
