I've aways stayed at the Hampton when in this area and thought I'd give it a try. The rooms are average but do show some age. The room and bed were fine and I did get a pretty good nights sleep. Breakfast was nothing special and not very much to chose from. The processed eggs reminded me of boot camp but I guess since it was included with the room it beats having to go out.

We stayed in a room with two queen sized beds. After a nights sleep we all woke up with bites. Upon inspection of the bed we discovered it was infested with bed bugs. Very surprising for a hotel this new. When you meet the rude and apathetic staff you will understand why the hotel is beginning to fall apart. The general manager seemed to care less about the bed bugs and told us he would take care of it, which he did not and offered no compensation. Breakfast here will make you sick and nothing works in the rooms from internet to showers. Don't board your pets here!

I made a reservation here 6 months prior to my expected arrival and was given a confirmation number. When I called a month prior to check the details of my reservation I was told they had changed their computer system over and no longer could find my confirmation number and that they were sold out and there was nothing they could do for me. I was traveling there as part of a group event in the area so the area hotels were also short on rooms. The manager was RUDE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE TO FIND OTHER ACCOMODATIONS. I filed a complaint with the customer service division of Wyndham who stated that since the confirmation no longer showed up on their system there was nothing they could do. DUH-that's the complaint!!!!!!!!!! You lost my reservation!!!!!!!UNBELIEVABLE! Not calling ahead of time would have put me and my family standing at their desk without a place to stay! Our group will never use their properties again which is a loss of over 50 families annually, let alone anyone that I can tell not to stay at one of these properties!

I have been using this location for some years and always found it offers value for money. That said, it must be noted that some of its service has declined notably during the current difficult economic time. Most notable was the fall in the quality of the hot breakfast. In the past, this was always a high-point of this hotel. Now, the mixed fresh fruit is gone...replaced by a few apples and bananas. The processed eggs made me yearn for long,long ago army food. They did not seem to be replenished from the 6:30 start until 10:00 close of service. They seemed to be egg pellets rather than scrambled eggs. Available meats were heavily salted and changed daily. The only really hot food was the waffles made in the self-use waffle maker. This is fine providing there is no line of other guests ahead of you. On a positive note, there is always hot coffee, tea and cocoa available...the latter two in bags or packaged mix. The staff is very friendly and the pricing still makes this location a value. I will continue to use this though with less conviction than before. Hopefully better economic times will lead to a return of higher quality.
