The lobby has very nice curb appeal, however it helps if the 'automatic' revolving door actually works. The rooms show their age with the dated wooden doors and old furniture. This facility is in need of an update to bring it up to the standard which I expect from a Doubletree. Overall just an average hotel, and far from what I'd expect from a Doubletree.

We were given cookies upon arrival however since I am a member of Hilton Honors they had a welcome letter as well as a little bag with four snacks and two waters. Very nice, made me feel welcome.

Very nice hotel, just not that close to many things other than the Convention Center. Room was vacuumed and cleaned but there was garbage in one of the drawers of the dressers. Heat works too well, so set it LOW, like around 63, no kidding. If you set it at 68 or higher, you will return to your room being a sauna. Windows are screwed shut permanently to cut down on people jumping from the roof ?

I've never been compelled to write a review before, but can't help myself after this experience. I'm two nights into a three night stay and am near exhaustion. The rooms are standard and the hotel has a nice feel overall but the heating units are like nothing else I've ever heard; when they kick in it's hard to hear the tv, and the noise woke me up at regular intervals throughout both nights. I ended up turning the units off and bundling up just to get some sleep.

To top it off, again on both nights; it sounded like someone was vaccuuming on the floor directly above me between 3:00 am & when I got up. Maybe it was a compressor outside, but regardless, I am running on an empty tank and won't stay here again. I asked a colleague about her experience and she said she never gets any sleep here; just stays for the Hilton points. Very sad.
