“Good for trade show and conference attendance”

This is the fifth year in a row I have stayed at this hotel while attending the Fly Fishing Show at the nearby (5 min. walk) Garden State Exhibition Center. The location is great, just minutes off the Interstate. The parking is ample. The hotel staff is always friendly and welcoming. The lobby comfortably furnished and inviting. There are many good restaurants just a few minutes away. The rooms are good sized although the bathrooms are a little small. There's good pressure and hot water in the shower and the towels are thick and fluffy. Our group ate off premises so I didn't try the restaurant. Computer use at the business center is free of charge and the hotel had free wi-fi. I stayed on a chilly night and the room's heating unit worked very well. It kept the room warm without overheating.

The rate was reasonable making my stay a good value.

The lobby is very inviting and the whole facility is kept clean.

Room Tip: I found that lower numbered rooms are less of a walk to the elevator and seem to be a little quieter

“Right off the highway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The check in was quick & easy. The staff was very friendly & helpful. There is a big beautiful lobby with seating. The room was super clean. It was also a good size. The bathroom was very clean & well stocked.

Room Tip: To ensure a quiet room ask for one on the 6th floor, the top level.

“Met expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

Good location 2 minutes off of I-287, so convenient to everywhere in the area. Lobby very spacious and clean. Front desk staff very nice and welcoming. Recognized I was a Priority Club memberand got a welcome package (bottle of water, snack). Room was nice, bathroom clean, (king) bed, pillows confortable. Only issue was the room had a noticeable cleaning or pesticide chemical smell, but I didn't notice it after a few minutes of being in the room.

“Holiday Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

For a Holiday Inn, it is very good. Lobby is nice, front desk person very nice. Room is clean. Only issues with housekeeping had to do with bed being made in a weird way so that sheet kept coming off exposing mattress and, like at so many hotels these days, a filthy coffee maker (they brought a new one). Overall, though, room was clean, and that's big considering what goes on these days in that area and disappointment. Free newspapers, free internet which is huge plus (this paying for internet at hotels should be outlawed!). Cool carpeting in hallways. Simple but nicely decorated rooms. Parking is easy, but some areas of parking lot a little too dark in the nighttime. It's a highway hotel-- right off of Route 287. That's where the main problem lies-- a lot of highway hotels make a point of having the windows very well insulated due to noise, but here you could really hear the highway noise-- plus a lot of yelling in Spanish out in the parking lot-- and we were on the top floor. Usually a fan at a hotel drowns out the noise, but this fan didn't work (beyond sounding like a dripping water faucet).

“Pretty much satisfied”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

So... it was ACROSS the street from the Sugarloaf Craft show that I was exhibiting at.. so I couldn't ask for a better location. Lobby beautiful, front desk friendly, 2nd floor attractively decorated, loved the carpet, looks new.. my room nice size, good t.v... work area..bathroom granite with tub that worked perfectly.. all was just fine except rediculously underlit.
I mean, spend a few bucks !!! Dark, inconvenient. Staff honored my request for two beds even though it was thru priceline .. Room smelled good.. There was a party /convention in the hotel, I had middle aged men acting like teenagers in the room next to me, called the front desk to complain, I don't know if they did anything as I finally fell asleep with the noise. I woke up at 1:30 and lost my temper and just banged on the wall behind my bed so hard I thought I broke my hand ! They calmed down a little.. either that or I passed out from the pain ! Only kidding. The coffee maker and coffee in the room is gross, why bother, also there are no ceramic cups just paper.. starbucks Coffee in the lobby behind the desk..with a little snack bar is $ 2.00 and delicious .. if priority club member, it is free. no refrig or microwave as many hotels are now providing. There is an attached restaurant that was very busy at breakfast, I could not get the wireless to work the first night, but they came and fixed it when I asked .
anyhow, I'd stay there again,

Room Tip: all I know is 2nd floor was good. You need to ask for non smoking if desired
