EVERYTHING WAS PHENOMENAL! The rooms were great...very cozy, the staff was very warm and caring and went over and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable! I give you 5 stars!!!!!

On the plus side, very quiet location, rooms in very good condition, very clean.
Breakfast very good, staff is courteous.
On the minus side, few food delivery options available, and few TV channels. Majority were Asian,(must be usual customer base) and a few fuzzy basic cable channels. Painfully slow internet, both wired and wireless.
We connected Laptop PC to TV to use Hulu and Netflix due to the dismal TV options, with streaming on lowest settings dropping constantly.
It wasn't a world-ending problem, just an annoyance for a 2 night stay.
Otherwise, a very well run and comfortable hotel, but we won't be staying again due to the TV and internet. Yes, Lodgenet PPV is an option for a movie or two, but we all know how expensive that is.

I traveled to US for work and booked Homewood through my Company on an Extended Stay of 3 months. And I am so glad I chose Homewood over Candlewood or any other because I was delighted by its location (quite central in NJ) and the peace.

The Housekeeping was excellent and so was the complimentary breakfast or the Mon-Thu dinner (served with Wine/Beer). All in All a great value for Money both for short term as well as extended stay.

The hotel and staff are very good. Unfortunately, there was a family of about 15 (2 mothers and the rest children under 12) that "took over" the entire place. Not having adequate security to enforce the rules was a problem. The children were so unruly, that having a adult with them did not quell their deplorable behavior. I complained to front desk about the unsupervised children in the pool area and the fact that a baby had defecated on the floor just outside the pool room. It was promptly cleaned and the man who cleaned it talked to the children, but as soon as he left-they started right back up. We did not get to enjoy the pool as they stayed until it closed.

Breakfast the next morning was unpleasant also. The food was fine-but again the unsupervised children made a mess of things and touched just about everything and then put it back. I've stayed at this Homewood each time we have gone to Diamond Nation, and have always had a terrific experience. I understand that an unruly family is not a problem with the hotel and its amenities, but I think, at the very least, that there needs to be security or someone with enough authority to tell people when their behavior is unacceptable, whether the adults in the group don't think it is or not.

I think that the staff handled the situation as best they could, but in my opinion, this was definitely beyond what would be considered a front desk or housekeeping problem. I rated this hotel as excellent last time as it is clean, the staff is friendly and it has everything we need. I just feel there needs to be someone on the premises to lay down the law. Sorry Homewood, now you're just average. The cost of one security guard would outweigh what it must have cost to clean after these animals!
