I had to make a quick business trip to Bridgewater,NJ and decided to stay at this hotel and use my points. I checked in on a Saturday and checked out on Tuesday. The hotel is tucked away in Somerset about 20 minutes away from my meeting. The hotel lobby is beautiful, quiet and the property looks almost brand new (it is 6-years old). Even though I used my points, the prices weren't out of line. I asked for a King Bed on the 4th Floor. This room was actually a Suite; it was huge...a King Bed with a flat screen TV and then it also had a living room space with a couch, chair, desk and separate flat screen TV and phone for business calls. The room was also laid out well . There was an open electrical socket by the nightstand for your laptop or cell phone, etc. The bathroom had a huge garden tub/shower; plenty of counter space which is golden to most women! The room also had a microwave and refrigerator. By the way, this bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in ....in ANY hotel in ANY city! I read some of the reviews about this hotel to include the bed being called a "coma bed"....I would have to agree! Fabulous night's sleep!
This property also has a free hot breakfast to include homemade waffles, bacon or sausage, eggs, breakfast sandwiches, breads, muffins, fruits, cereals, coffee, juices, etc. They serve until 9:30A during the week and 10:30A on the weekends. There is also a "market" on the property with chips, drinks, canned foods, candy, etc. Much like you would get at at a convenience store.
I had a couple of issues. My TV kept clicking off, almost as if it were on a timer. However, as soon as I told the front desk about it, maintenance replaced it. The staff was always friendly and courtious. I truly loved my short time there!
I would recommend this property to anyone for any reason...business or pleasure! However, the Manager said that it typically fills up quickly during the week, so you may want to keep that in mind.
Room Tip: I was on the 4th floor ...loved it!
