I read the reviews on tripadvisor before our trip and I was not hopeful. Great breakfast. (although I couldn't figure out how to make a hot cup of tea anywhere.) We had a room on the 7th floor with a school field trip. Clean room. Hot water. Very convenient to the city. Elevators were slow, but we just took the stairs.

Just outside NY, near Lincoln Tunnel. Service is excellent, the rooms need renovation though.
Yu can take a bus to the city (2.5 USD and 20 min drive), or a taxi for around 50 USD.

My husband and I usually stay in The Meadowlands area about once a month and stay at one of the Hotels on Paterson Plank Road. We decided to stay at The Crowne Plaza because we were meeting friends for dinner at Charritos in Weekhawken, NJ and figured this location we be easy on, easy off of Route 3. We loved the location on the dead end street, away from the hustle and bustle of the New Jersey congestion. The staff friendly and being a Priority member was given 2 free drink coupons for the bar and several minutes after check in, a knock on the door with a fresh fruit and cheese platter, compliments of the hotel. The bed was absolutely comfortable and we had no issues at all. Being a priority member we were told that we could park in the lot across from the hotel, but we choose to park in the covered parking, which was a nice stroll to the hotel. We are looking forward to staying here in the future rather than our usual location in Carlstadt, NJ.

The only thing this Hotel has going for it is the personel which is very nice. I stopped coming to this Hotel 7 years ago and back then they had a sign that said new beds, i unfortunatly had to stay again and guess what the same sign is in the Lobby showing new beds. This Hotel is old, the beds are horrible and bend in the middle, the water pressure and hot water only work at times, the hallways have mold and lets not discuss the carpeting because they are torn, filthy and wrinkled. The housekeeping are constantly in the hall way at 7 AM yelling at each other and laughing as if there were no guest in the rooms. Parking is in another building that if its snowing and raining you will have to walk about a block in the snow and rain to reach the Lobby. Dont saty here there are better places.
