After many stays in Seaside Heights, some at some real "dumps", some which don't even exist any more, I figured all the motels were substandard, and you just had to accept it. Boy, was I wrong. After reading the reviews on here and other sites, I figured I'd give the Sunrise a shot. Well, sure glad we did.
From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, until we pulled out two days later, the Sunrise Motel was an absolute pleasure. Yes, the car stayed right where it was the whole trip. Because of the motels central location, everything was in CLOSE walking distance, from the restuarants to the rides, everything was right there.
The rooms were nice and open, and fit 2 adults and one child very nicely, without even opening the couch bed. A few other nice touches were the free breakfast every morning, we went to Ryans grill right across the street and it was spotless, and the free beach badges.
One other aspect that we noticed about this motel was the patiotism shown, with American flags gracing the property and the billboard. As family members of military personnel, it was very refreshing to see such pride shown, especially knowing that it's because of the military we can enjoy our freedom safely.
All in all, I would strongly recommend this motel to families looking for a peaceful respite from the daily grind. This was the first time my child actually looked forward to going back to the motel, and the pool. One other hint, buy some bbq food, and use the grills on the sundeck, we saved a lot of money that way..
