“The Good, The Bad and the Ugly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2010

The good: Manager was very nice. Motel was only a few blocks from the beach and boardwalk. Room had a fridge and microwave. Price was very good.
The bad: We were given only two towels for whole stay. We were told that they had no washcloths! There was no housekeeping staff that I saw. The acoustics were terrible and we heard doors slamming all night! Bed was uncomfortable. Room was small and cramped. We were told they had free wi-fi, which did not work.
The ugly: The bathtub--well I'm not sure what was up with the bottom of the tub. Air conditioner was disgusting, as though the filter had never been cleaned. There were some scary-looking characters hanging around outside, and I am pretty sure we witnessed a drug deal by the dumpster. As we were leaving the cops showed up and went inside--not sure what that was all about. The bathtub--well I'm not sure what was up with the bottom of the tub.

“the reviews are the truth”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

Me and my girlfriends planned a last min trip to go down the shore. Big mistake. Never again.Every hotel was booked and this hotel was my last resort i never heard of this hotel nor have i ever stayed here. The hotel was the only hotel that had availability so i took it. After i made the reservations i looked at the reviews for the hotel and was shocked and pissed but i said to myself "it couldnt be that bad and we werent going to stay in hotel just needed a place to sleep" i went to kmart to get things for the hotel sheets pillows stuff that we can use and leave there. We get to hotel and the guy gave my room to someone else, when i called the night before for the room. Me and my girlfriends had to sleep in one bed which he said was a king size but, it was a queen .Then he gives me one key n argued with me about giving me another key. The room is tiny the sink and mirror is outside of the bathroom the bed is hard as a rock and bricks were holding up the bed. It was just disgusting. there were bugs flying in the room because they leave the main door open soo anybody can walk in. Doors slam late at night there are bunch of young kids just hanging outside that looked like crackheads. Theres no phone to call front desk and noone is in office till 10am and theres no ice machine he said we can use the other hotels ice machine which we had to drive to. I didnt want to even stay in the room it was gross and we had to be trashed to even be in there. I learned to not wait last min to get a hotel room and to read reviews first before booking. There isnt one ood review for this place. Hell No i wouldnt recommend hotel to a friend. It would of been better sleeping in my friends car. Worst mother f***** hotel ever.

“This Place Is a Dump!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2009

We recently stayed at the Seaport Motel in Seaside Heights, NJ. We wanted a room on the board walk facing the ocean. The clerk at the motel told it would be $100 so we fig that would be ok as long as the room was good. We filled out the paperwork and the clerk asked us what time would we be checking out and I said I guess around 11am the next day. He informed us that check out is at 10am so we said ok, 10 it is. He took our credit card ran it and made a photo copy it and my drivers lisc. which made me a little uncomfortable. He then gave us this big long disclaimer to sign. Then he asked me again what time will we be checking out??? At that point i was ready to walk but he already ran the card and all so we stayed. When we got to the room it looked ok so we changed up and went to the beach to have some fun. When we got back to the motel later in the evening we were greeted by a few drugged out squatters hanging out on the stairs to our room. When we got in the room I flopped down on the bed and realized that the box spring was broken on the one bed. Then tried the other and realized both beds were shot. All night long we heard a loud banging noise like someone hammering along with people hanging out on the balcony making noise. We tried calling the office to complain no one answered. The next day we took cold showers as we watched the dirt wash from our feet which came from the dirty carpet in the room. We then dried off with 2 little towels the size of dish rags located in the bathroom. I also noticed there were no smoke detectors anywhere in the room either. Worst of all they left us with 1/8 roll of toilet paper which got used up. Good thing we had a box of tissues with us!

“The bates motel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2007

Me and my fiance went there for prom weekend..First of all we had to pay about 6 hundred dollers for only 2 nites and 3 days..second of all when we had put a down payment on the room 2 months ahead of time.. we had to pay more.. then at the last minute we call the day before to make sure everything is confirmed and they say the make a mistake..so really we werent supposed to end up at this motel.but they were family owned, the other motel we were supposed to go to that it.. so anyway they made us go to this motel instead because the place we ''RIGHTFULLY RESERVED AND PAID EXTRA MONEY FOR'' was all booked up..so we get here..the place smelled of cheap calogne and mold..the staff wasnt pleasent and didnt even talk to you or make you feel at home. You felt like you were in a crack house when you went to enter your room. No service at all..loud noise throughout the whole night, music blassting until 6 in the morning..the showers had no heat hardly..and the air conditioner hardly worked..we had a small fridge and a broken dresser. the bathroom was so small all you could do was pee step in and out of the shower..and the sink was OUTSIDE of the room next to the door to leave.. me and my fiance literally were looking around the walls for peepholes.. you would rather stay in the bates motel then stay here..trust me.

“Scary Motel”

This was a last minute vacation, and definitely a last time at this place. We had a room on the 2nd floor. Every day whenever people would leave their room they would slam the doors. All hours of the night all you heard were doors slamming. The first night we came in at night and wanted to take a shower, the beds were not made and there were no clean towels . After going downstairs to complain to Fifi who runs the place, she told us that we had to let her know if we wanted the room cleaned. I told her I never heard of this practice and she said people don't like them coming in their rooms. We had to let them know the night before if we wanted our room cleaned. There were people coming and going all hours of the night and we didn't feel safe at all.The last day that we were there, there was a very loud argument going on between mgmt. and a renter.Mgmt was screaming for the rent.We were afraid to open the door. There was no phone in the room in case of emergency. The pool was very dirty. There were cement peelings in the bottom of the pool and the lounge chairs were filthy. We did not even want to sit down. People were barbequing at all hours of the night, even though there was a sign stating that the pool closed at 8pm, people disregarded it and were in it at all hours.
