I booked this hotel and thought the pictures looked good - Beware when they do not show the bathroom or TV in any pictures. The Bathroom was old and had the smallest bathroom sink I have ever seen!!! The counter space was large enough for a glass for your toothbrush but that is it. The Hotel cleaning staff also would not replace any opened shampoo or mouthwash unless you put them in the trash.
The TV was a 19 inch tube TV that needed rabbit ears!! We had to adjust the wire ourselves!! Do not even think about a mini fridge or microwave because they did not exist in the 70's. the saving grace was the ice machine a couple of doors away but do not expect the cleaner to empty the water and replace the bag!!!

Then on Thanksgiving morning at 7:30 AM, the hotel decided that they needed to do construction in the next room!!! Nothing like waking up to hammers and drills!!

Still looking for a Good Holiday Inn in Bergen County New Jersey.

After reading reviews on Trip Adviser, our tour group of 44 were concerned about what we would find at this hotel. I have to say we were VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast provided,, while not great, was definitely satisfactory. None of us saw any evidence of bugs; the staff was friendly; and no one mentioned anything about bad smells. All things considered, we were very happy with our four-day stay in Saddle Brook.

We stayed on the 8th floor, the very first room you see when you get off the elevator. I was a little worried about hearing the elevator open and close while we sleep but we didn't hear it at all. The hallway area where you wait to get on the elevator smelled bad so I asked someone who got on the elevator from the 4th floor and they said their hallway was stinky too. At least it didn't stink in the room and it was clean. We rented a refrigerator and you would think they wouldn't give you one that wasn't so rusty on the shelf holders but the rest of it was clean and it was the smaller one not like the ones they have in the rooms I've seen in Holiday Inn Express hotels. The bathroom doesn't have much counter space if you need that. You hear a noise above the bathroom like a spa tub was on or something like that but you don't hear it in the bedroom area.

We stayed here with our hockey team. The lobby smelled like pee, the room was old and dirty, the bathroom had ants in it and the toilet seat was in desperate need of a replacement. In the morning I discovered that the whole room was infested with ants crawling all over the rug. SO GROSS. One bed was nice, the other had some problem that made it cave in in the middle (so my daughter and I slept on top of each other). And the worst part--the pool. So, so dirty and gross. Even the kids didn't want to go back, which is saying a lot. No issues with the service or the price (we paid $90 for the night), and the location is great right off the highway, but I will definitely not return to this hotel again.
