This was clearly the worst hotel that we stayed in during our recent vacation in NJ. Not only is it in the middle of renovation, everything about this hotel is sub-standard. The room smelled terrible. The breakfast looked as if it had been purchased on the previous day at a cheap market. The window locks didn't work and anybody could have climbed into our rooms from the parking lot. The only positive I can think of is the front-desk staff and the quick check-in. I guess we were the only ones staying there. Will never return.

The hotel was under renovation. I did get a nice room with micro & fridge. Overall it was clean, except for the telephone. However, the bed was like a rock and very thin mattress. Not a great sleep! The front desk staff seemed nice upon check-in, but bothered upon further questions. I saw the menu for the hotel and I felt the prices were very high--for New York and Boston (where I'm from). I found a good steak place elsewhere. The hotel is under some renovation, but it didn't bother me. The restaurant did offer a full breakfast (free) on Sunday morning, but I didn't take advantage. One of the better Best Western's, but I got in late and left very early.

I have never stayed in a hotel as dissapointing as this one. My 3 girlfriends planned a ladies night in, a one night get-away within our budget. We planned on hot tubbing, swimming, having some cocktails and a good meal. There was no hot tub except in certain rooms, the NY Sports club down the high way might have one is what we were told. The restaurant was very pricy with mediocre food. The movies for rent were from 1995, there was nothing but one dissapointment after another. The staff were decent but seemed to be generally annoyed with some very simple questions.

The best thing about our Saturday night stay was the toilet flushed. It worked so well, it flushed itself the night through. Now for the bad. I was awoken after midnight by a yelling, belligerent desk clerk who insisted I was an unregistered guest and demanded to know how I entered the premises illegally. During the conversation she hung up on me more than once. There was no manager on duty until Monday and the room conditions were disgusting. The carpet was sticky, the bed sheets were peppered with holes, the alarm clock was a malfunctioning disaster, the air conditioner groaned and rumbled, and a filthy bedspread topped of a squeaking, sagging bed. Local phone calls are not free and the restaurant is boarded up. After two contacts with Best Western Corporate Headquarters no one has yet offerd an apology, let alone attempted to make things right.
