“everything was perfect!!”

The food was delicious and plentiful and the salad bar was better than most restaurants. I forgot my toothbrush and paste and was promptly supplied with both items. I was really pleased that there was no disinfectant smell in the room or hallway, often prevalent in even the most expensive hotels. Yeah to the cleaning staff for that!! Speaking of staff, Tony, the general manager, couldn't have been more gracious. No wonder that Lance and Joe, who were very helpful to me, love working at the Inn.

“Nice place, good location”

We needed a centrally located place between relatives in Monroe and Somerset and this was conveniently right in the middle on Route 1 south. Great breakfast, clean rooms, great staff. Although we were never there for the evening "light meal" I heard it was pretty good. We'll probably make it our permanent choice for family visits. The only thing I would advise is if you are arriving late at night, at we did, there's absolutely no where nearby to eat, so bring along something with you. We wound up having a bottle of wine and 4 granola bars for dinner.

Room Tip: Do not take a room in front of the hotel! The noise from traffic on Route 1 is awful. We got in too...

“Wow - wine and beer happy hour with decent food and a big room with a great bed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011 via mobile

No wonder this is the top rated hotel in Princeton. Everything was top notch to the surprisingly comfortable bed with great pillow options ( I need flat ) to the work desk perfectly positioned in the room. Happy hour with free wine and beer and decent food makes this Hampton an excellent value!

“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

I'm a 15 year "Road Warrior" and I've gotta say, this hotel has it all. Courteous staff, including the Manager, rooms and services every business traveler looks for and extras that make a differnece. Such as the fact that they clean their bedding, all of it, not just the sheets, between customers. Free breakfast is great, but uber clean rooms? Awesome! Unless I've stayed at a very high dollar hotel, I've never seen that. If I have to be away from home, things like that make a difference. And the Manager's wife makes killer chocolate covered pretzals that are in your room upon arrival.
Just an awesome hotel. I have never, ever written a review of anything before. Anything. But I am compelled to recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Room Tip: They're all good!

Thank you very much for taking the time to care about us. I am proud to say that we use Trip Advisor as a training tool for the entire staff. Your comments have made us genuinely proud and happy to be here. In my 25 years of hospitality, I can say this is one of the most loyal and dedicated housekeeping departments I have ever represented. They really care and this comes from their heart. I am proud of the whole team and I will also let my wife know that her chocolate treats also made a difference. We look forward to having you with us in 2012. Happy New Year to you and thanks again!

“Comfortable place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

Recently stayed 2 nights at the Hampton Inn in Princeton NJ. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Friendly staff. Room was nice and clean with a very comfortable King sized bed. Chair with ottoman also was comfy. Plenty of towels in the bathroom, nice flat screen tv with plenty of free channels. Microwave and fridge is a great addition. Overall decor was fine. Free breakfast was basic but good -great coffee! The hotel does not have a restaurant on site so don't expect room service. I highly reccommend this hotel for travelers on the go looking for a comfortable place to spend the night. I suggest you check out prices online before making a reservation, I did so and ended up finding a 20% discount on the nightly rate.

Room Tip: Ask for a room towards the back of the hotel, to avoid the Route 1 highway noise.

Warm Greetings and thank you so much for taking the time to list all your experiences on the great site of Trip Advisor. We value our customers and your comments mean so much to us. Although we do not have all the fancy amenities as an expensive hotel, we do feature a unique complimentary full dinner Monday-Thursday and that includes salads, soup, dessert, beer, wine and soda. This offers a great value to our weekday travelers. Thanks again for taking time out of your busy day to share these great comments. We hope to serve you again soon.
