My wife surprised me with a recent stay here. First off, it is on a very busy road so it was a little difficult to turn left across traffic into the driveway... no biggie. Once we got in, we never had to see the car again until we left.
Check-in for the hotel is in the same waiting area for the restaurant so it was a little weird lugging our suitcases through the people waiting for tables.
We didn’t see an elevator. If you can’t take stairs, be sure to call and check on that before booking a room.
The room was very nice. The bed was huge and the flat screen was a good size and cable was not an issue. Bathroom was nice. Room was super-warm when we got there but the window opened so we could cool it down. Traffic noise was not an issue for us, but we were on the top floor and in the back.
We ate at the inn. I’m more of a NY steak house type of guy so I’m not really into the type of dining experience they offer, but it was fine. My wife really enjoyed her meal.
The breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about. I was fine with the muffin and juice but I ended up having to take my wife somewhere else to eat in the morning. I’m guessing they don’t have enough business to justify a cook in the morning.
The rooms are pretty pricey but I’m sure they are premium priced for being at the campus. Overall, if you are used to high-quality boutique hotels, you will be happy with this place.
