We stayed here while attending a convention at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It was about a 10 minute drive, no real traffic on a weekend. The area off Black Horse Pike is somewhat diverse and there are a number of motels on the strip that I would not venture in however The Comfort Inn had a nice location, well lit parking area and backed directly to the water which was very pretty but very cold with the wind whipping off the water. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and efficient; both the day and evening shifts. Our room was located on the 1st floor which I prefer and a short walk from the lobby. The room was average size with quality linens. The beds are definitely doubles not queen. There was a flat screen TV, mini refrigerator and microwave; all of which were a plus for us. The room was very clean. I didn’t find the heating unit loud and it worked very well. I heard no outside noise and rested very comfortably both nights. There was a towel wrapped around the smoke detector; not sure I wanted to know what that was about. The bathroom is a good size however two small negatives were some rust and the room was very cold if you shut the door. The floor was actually icy cold (I’m assuming because we were on the ground floor). If you kept the door open the bathroom temperature was manageable but the floor remained very cold so bring slippers. There was a small amount of rust around the tub drain and steel door which I included with the pictures. There was a bit of sloppy painting and caulking however it was clean so it didn’t bother us. None of these items were bad enough to say anything however if I had a small child and wanted to give them an actual bath I would not put my child in the tub. The breakfast was in reality much better than I anticipated; actually right up there with The Hampton Inn. Breads, pastries, eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24X7. I would definitely stay here again over paying $189.00 to $350.00 a night in the resort hotels. Parking was free as well.
Room Tip: Request a room with a water view.
