“This may be the best of a bad lot...”

If you have business in unPleasantville, there are not many alternatives. Lots of far worse places or just go over to Atlantic City itself. It is 15 minutes away and if you are not renting by the hour, go there!
Roach in the room-yes
Paint peeling-yes
Room weathered-yes
No real room service-yes
Neighborhood not welcoming for travellers
Breakfast-yes but nuked egg patties, not good
They have a beach of sorts, but sereiously, would you go there?
And this was the best place in this area....so only stay here if you have to be in this specific area.

Room Tip: I was told I got an upgrade and the bathroom looked like a child had patched it up. I'd had to s...

“Nice Weekend Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Stayed the weekend of 01/28/2012 to go to a concert. The hotel is a bit dated, but very well maintained. Did not get a room on the water side (used the AAA discount?) but the room was nice.
The breakfast was the same as most, the hot part of it had much to be desired (didn't even try it).
The drive to convention hall is only about 4 miles, they did offer a shuttle service into town.
For a quick and close stay, with a budget in mind a great pick.

“Great Alternative to the Boardwalk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Driving, it took us about 10 minutes to get to our casino. The room was clean the staff was awesome and the breakfast was good. I got an amazing picture of the sun setting over the water from my room window. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the water- its so pretty

“Great Value for Atlantic City with Wonderful Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

We stayed here while attending a convention at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It was about a 10 minute drive, no real traffic on a weekend. The area off Black Horse Pike is somewhat diverse and there are a number of motels on the strip that I would not venture in however The Comfort Inn had a nice location, well lit parking area and backed directly to the water which was very pretty but very cold with the wind whipping off the water. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and efficient; both the day and evening shifts. Our room was located on the 1st floor which I prefer and a short walk from the lobby. The room was average size with quality linens. The beds are definitely doubles not queen. There was a flat screen TV, mini refrigerator and microwave; all of which were a plus for us. The room was very clean. I didn’t find the heating unit loud and it worked very well. I heard no outside noise and rested very comfortably both nights. There was a towel wrapped around the smoke detector; not sure I wanted to know what that was about. The bathroom is a good size however two small negatives were some rust and the room was very cold if you shut the door. The floor was actually icy cold (I’m assuming because we were on the ground floor). If you kept the door open the bathroom temperature was manageable but the floor remained very cold so bring slippers. There was a small amount of rust around the tub drain and steel door which I included with the pictures. There was a bit of sloppy painting and caulking however it was clean so it didn’t bother us. None of these items were bad enough to say anything however if I had a small child and wanted to give them an actual bath I would not put my child in the tub. The breakfast was in reality much better than I anticipated; actually right up there with The Hampton Inn. Breads, pastries, eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24X7. I would definitely stay here again over paying $189.00 to $350.00 a night in the resort hotels. Parking was free as well.

Room Tip: Request a room with a water view.
