Let's face it, price is important.
I had to be in Princeton for a day, so I booked a room at the Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Hotel via Priceline (name your own price option). I was able to get a room for approximately 43% off the rate quoted on their website.
For the rate I paid, I thought the hotel was fine. If I had to stay there for 3-4 nights, or if I was traveling with my wife or other family members, I probably would have picked a hotel that was "fresher". For one night though, it served its purpose and I was happy.
The hotel is set off in the woods, so it is a bit away from the hustle and bustle. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The room was definitely "older" and there were quite a few stains on the grout in the bathroom and shower.
The TV didn't work which was upsetting, but I didn't arrive until late so it was probably best that I got to bed quickly anyway.
When I checked out I told the desk clerk that the TV didn't work, and her response was "We're having problems with all the TVs because we are switching over from cable to sattellite" or something like that. If they were aware of the problem I wish they would have told me at check in.
The check-in process was extremely quick and easy. It was probably the quickest process of any of my recent stays.
A BIG plus of this hotel is the FREE parking, and the parking lot is very close to the front entrance. I've become accustomed to many hotels charging upwards of $20 per night to park, which I find crazy. The Wyndham free parking lot was a big plus.
I would stay here again, because when I am traveling alone price is my primary concern. If I was traveling with my family, I would look for something a bit newer (and with fewer grout stains int he bathroom).
