I have mixed comments about our stay at the Pillars. The property and overall feel of the home and gardens is tired and slightly neglected. Our room the Master had a comfortable bed and was clean but the common areas needed a general cleaning. The stairs and downstairs needed vacuuming. The general neighborhood felt like is was borderline safe for two young women to stay in. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. We had a great visit at a nearby spa (Castle Spa) and a town nearby called Westfield where you could walk around safely at night and visit shops and restaurants. I would not recommend for women to use the Plainfield station at night. The Pillars does has repeat customers who we met who were very nice but I felt their website oversells the product. It was not a place where you would want to spend all day lounging although with some housekeeping, gardening, handyman assistance they could get closer to what they are trying to achieve. A large house like that needs a lot of attention which it is currently not receiving.
