We were looking for the perfect weekend getaway from NYC and the Northwood Inn delivered on all fronts. The inn was easy to get to and wonderfully quaint, Marj and John were tremendously gracious, and the food was delicious. We particularly loved the opportunity to use the free bikes to ride around on the Boardwalk in the mornings and through the historic downtown strip in the afternoons. The free beach tags made accessing the beach a breeze, and the free beach chairs made it very relaxing. Coming home to the jacuzzi on the roof at night (where you can watch the sun set or the ferris wheel lit up at night) was very memorable, and though we had the smallest room, it was still the perfect size. In all, there is nothing more I could have asked for from the Northwood Inn, nothing I would change, and every reason for us to recommend it to friends and family, alike.

What more could you want: bikes, beach tags, towels, and chairs, fresh baked goods and lots of choices for breakfast, warm hospitality by Marj and John, friendly support from their terrific assistants and a deli right down the street on the way to the beach! The inn itself is a great home, the rooms well-appointed, and in an unbeatable location. We will be back!

We have been going to the Northwood Inn for 15 years and we have always had a wonderful time. Marj and John are friendly, thoughtful,and always have great recommendations for dinner! The inn is always comfortable and cozy, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Any time we need to get away and get recharged, we head to the Northwood.
