Bonnie and Dave Konya, the owners of the Bayberry Inn, are two of the loveliest people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. They are kind, accommodating and hilarious.

The rooms are very comfortable, but you won't spend much time in them, seeing as there's so much to do in OC; Bonnie and Dave's recommendations of places to go on and off the island were always stellar. Their spirits always seemed to be up, even after a major thunderstorm caused the Inn to lose power! Even in that situation, they were prepared with flashlights and food for breakfast the next morning.

One of the best aspects of the Bayberry are the traditions that Bonnie and Dave have upheld in all the years they've owned the place, such as cookies and iced tea on the porch every afternoon. Bonnie's chocolate chip cookies are, without question, some of the best on the East Coast.

There is no doubt that I'll stay here again for my next visit to the Shore - that is, if there are even rooms available.

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at the Bayberry Inn with our daughter, who joined us from Boston. However, her flight to PHL was delayed nearly 6 hours and we didn't arrive at the Bayberry until 2:30 a.m. We had called ahead to tell Dave we'd be quite late and he arranged to leave a note with instructions and parking pass on the front door and keys in our room doors.

Dave and Bonnie are lovely people, who really make you feel like you are at home, not a visitor. The breakfasts were delicious and creative; we even bought a copy of Bonnie's cookbook. The rooms were comfortable, and included a refrigerator and free wi-fi. We enjoyed the cool breezes on the front porch and the afternoon treat of homemade cookies and iced tea. Free parking and beach tags are provided. The beach is only 2 blocks away and the B&B is near the Music Pier and many of the most popular Boardwalk attractions and eateries, as well as in-town restaurants and shops.

It was oppressively hot during our stay, capped off by a violent thunderstorm that knocked out power for a few hours. Dave and Bonnie handled it very well and we ended up having a nice time chatting on the porch until power was restored.

We could not have been happier and are already looking forward to our next stay at the Bayberry Inn.

My husband and I stayed at the Bayberry Inn last week for the third year in a row. We have been going to Ocean City NJ for years as it’s one of the closer shore points for us, with a 3 ½ hour drive. We have stayed at several B & B’s and were regular customers at one in particular. However, when they could not accommodate us three years ago, we looked on line for a good replacement. To our fortunate surprise, we “lucked out”. Bonnie and Dave made us feel very welcomed. We loved the place with its quaint, beautifully decorated rooms and of course have been going back ever since. With each visit, we become more like extended family. We found that most all the guest are friendly and fun conversations have always taken place either at breakfast or relaxing on the front porch.

Bonnie serves up some wonderful breakfasts, starting with some type of fresh fruit and followed by a plate of baked French toast, or egg casserole, sometimes along with bacon/sausage and a muffin. It’s not a buffet and you are served your breakfast. Bonnie is very accommodating and if you let her know of any dietary concerns, she will come up with something to individually suit you. A few people may think it’s not a big hearty breakfast, but for us it’s plenty. We are early risers and you can relax on the porch with coffee before breakfast at 8:30. They also bring out iced tea or lemonade and cookies to the front porch every afternoon. What a nice thing to have after coming off the hot beach.

We have found the rooms always to be clean, a good mattress, with each having their own bathroom and air conditioned.

Bonnie and Dave are very accommodating and will go out of their way at times to please their guests.

We have searched for a warm, clean, friendly bed and breakfast in ocean city that welcomes young children. We are so thankful that we found the Bayberry! The innkeepers are extremely kind and very friendly people who genuinely care about their guests and do everything possible to make sure their guests are happy. The entire inn is spotless-you won't find a cleaner place. The beds are comfy and every room has it's own bathroom. They have a great, spacious suite on the third floor which is perfect for small families. The location is great-just 2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. They offer off-street parking, which is rare in OC. The breakfast is homemade each day by Bonnie-she is an amazing cook and you won't be disappointed with the breakfast. The innkeepers are on-site and make themselves available to guests. It's just a lovely place to stay and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
