Let me start by saying that we couldn't find any place cheaper for the weekend. If you are looking for a bed for as little $$ as possible, this place could fit your needs.
I should also say that the staff, as mentioned in a previous review, were quite friendly. I didn't have any bad encounters with any of the staff, and the checkin/check out process was quick and easy.
The room, however, was pretty low quality. The place was built in the early 1900's and is very much showing it's age. Many doors and walls are out of alignment, the carpet was old and sticky and the bathroom was..."primative". Our carpets also appeared to not have been thoroughly cleaned recently, as there was dust and dirt along all the edges, many of which were fraying. The bathroom linoleum was peeling up in spots.
The TV and refrigerator were both new and worked well, though the cable TV service quality left a bit to be desired. We had decent signal from the wifi and the speed was more than adequate.
The bed was old and worn out. Our pillows were fine, but the comforter had a few random hairs on it. It also didn't appear to have been washed recently. The sheets, however, appeared clean and crisp and were not a problem.
All in all, it is probably not somewhere that we'll return. We were happy for the deal we got at $100/night, but we'd be pretty upset if we had paid more. We certainly would have not stayed if our kids were with us, the room was far too dirty than we would let them walk around in. The place certainly has potential to be ok, but desperately needs some cleaning and updating to be acceptable.
