Can't understand the negative reviews, I have stayed at The Koo-Koos Nest several times since 2001 and have not had a bad experience. The owners, Tom and Anna, are very good hosts. They are 'laid back' in an informal atmoshpere, but that's what the shore is supposed to be like.
The rooms have a real 'homey' feel, are nice size, very clean and well cared for. The maid service was daily and she was very nice. The lobby area can't really be called a lobby, more like a comfortable living room, part of the atmosphere. There is a very nice porch to relax on between times on the beach and boardwalk. It is just a short walk to the beach / boardwalk or to Asbury Avenue (main shopping street) and since 6th Street is the start of shops and stuff on both the B&B is very convienient.
Breakfasts were very good, Anna cooks and Tom serves, always varied and delicious. The coffee was fantastic ! Nothing like a good breakfast, on a porch with the morning breeze, chatting with Tom.
BTW their dog's name is Koo-Koo :)
