My husband found Scarborough Inn a few years ago, and we fell in love with it. It has that perfect combination of old-time ambiance and modern convenience. For someone like me who grew up vacationing at the shore, returning to The Scarborough Inn is like going home.
It has a big wraparound porch with low hanging awnings and rockers lined up to catch the cool morning breeze, and it’s a great place to end the day, preferably with an ice cream cone from the shop up the street.
There are several types of rooms, and a studio apartment. The included breakfast and afternoon tea are always surprising delights of gourmet food, and everyone at Scarborough is friendly and helpful. By the way, if you’ve only got a day or two to spend in Ocean City, check out their website availability chart. If there’s a gap between reservations, they may be able to fit you in. I’ve done this. The Procrastinator’s Special is great, too. Reserve within 24 hours and save 20%.
The inn is only two blocks from the boardwalk and beach, and one block from the bike rental shop. You don’t have to drive unless you want to visit another town, so park your car in the inn’s off-street parking and “forget about it”.
But, that’s the only thing you’ll want to forget as you create warm and wonderful memories at the best inn on the Jersey Shore.
